tried searching but all the how to’s here are before the youtube update

Here’s what I use, works a treat, always has proper updates, and super reliable. (mine is the “Torrented” Version and license was “Pre-installed” if you will) Support Developers if you can, I did after I tested it for a whille. Stay safe out there Comtech…enjoy.

Smart tube no longer can access Utube with surfshark running but without a surfshark it works perfectly. I do not use another vpn so I am not sure if it is surfshark or any vpn.

I use Free Downloader Manager used recently so it is still working

Try Clip Grab … simple and works.

thx,clip grab did the trick!

I know you’ve already been answered and I’m not familiar with the services anyone else has mentioned but in the future if you have the same issue with any of those find NewPipe or PipePipe on f-droid.org and you’ll always be able to download YouTube videos from either of those because of the method they use. Not 100% sure how it works but you don’t even need a device with Google Play Services on it which is really saying something. The download speeds are incredible as well which is also a plus.

SmartTube is still working fine for me. Perhaps it’s the version you’re using. If you think it may be I’ll try to find the link to what I have. If there’s a GitHub release most likely that’s where I got mine from but it’s been so long now I don’t remember exactly.

Still working for me. If you have the Downloader app use these codes…

You can enter 79015 (for beta) or 28544 (for stable)

Clip Grab is no longer working to download video’s from youtube…anyone have a working video downloading app for windows to download youtube video’s?
thx guys

I posted this above, but if you did not read nor try it, here it is again.

that app wants me to login to youtube? I don’t have a youtube account and have never been asked to do that?

OK found a cracked copy of chrispc video downloader on iptorrents and it’s working fine
thx for the input guys

well i’ll be damned…this is so interesting
so click grab was telling me no video could be found and i thought it was broken
so i downloaded a cracked copy of chrispc video downloader and entered the same youtube url that i pasted into click grab
WTF! chrispc app said "this url has been blocked by youtube.please try another url
i’ve got SS running whenever i download anything…so i changed locations in SS
and clip grab downloaded the same video no problem…i had no idea youtube was doing that! so me being the curious type…i rebooted comp and went to the same location in SS that was supposedly blocked by youtube and yep…couldn’t download anything…rebooted again and chose a diff location and clip grab worked excellent again! seems youtube is getting really aggresive…just a fyi to you guys,i’d never had known to do that except for the chris app
DANG!!!
change locations in your vpn when you have downloading problems?
getting older suck’s big time…lol

Many top VPNs will have specific servers that are able to bypass such things as Geo or app restrictions. I never go to you tube personally. Some even list those servers on their site. May have to dig through to find them. They are often listed somewhere in the site most often asked questions section.

Maybe the issue is using a VPN. Been using Youtube for decades and never have used a VPN. But then again I’ve never needed to download a Youtube video. Curious as to why would one ever need to download a Youtube video? I just watch them

i work on and repair all my home and recreational stuff myself…i will often download the video for a particular job or repair and take it with me or save it for future reference…plus i like doing it!
