It is Android 12. My big thing is snappiness of operation and video upscaling. Right now my AM9’s meet that threshold, apart from metal casings and excellent cooling. I also not crazy about the plastic casing on this SK box from a heat dispersement standpoint, even though it looks nice.
@sim_bill I’m happy with my AM9 and my TP hacked Fire TV Cubes Gen 2’s still work great too, I’m pretty simple these days.
Sounds like you are talking about the SK 1. I bought mine at the same time you did. Anyone who wanted to upgrade it to 8gb of RAM had to do it by computer otherwise you are stuck with 4 gbs. 4 gbs is perfectly ok for streaming in 4K, so it’s no big deal to me. Also, folks need to consider, do I really want or need 8K capability in a streaming box? Most people can’t tell the difference and most of us will have assumed room temperature by the time they are even considering making 8K the standard.

I’ve had good experiences, just took a long time to get what I wanted.
A few of us took the plunge and bought one off the Ugoos Mini PC TV Box store. Right now there is only 1 left at the $331.99 price. I bought my SK1 there.
That’s where I got my SK1 also. I’m still pondering if the 100 dollar savings would be worth checking out Alibaba.

I went to the Alibaba website. I saw a price of $269 and you had to order 2 to get that.
does the video on it look better than the 4k video on a onn 4k?

Correction on my above post, I contacted the seller and even though it says 1 piece minimum, she’s informed it’s in fact 2 piece minimum.
On another note I’m watching the price increase on other sites daily by the hundreds. 
That’s too bad. I was waiting on a response from the seller. I’m sure you could flip one for profit but I don’t have any interest in that hassle
