If this has been published…I apologize…no key words seem to pull anything up… since I moved to kodi 21.1 none of my addons will retain my list settings for shows or movies… when I reopen an addon it goes back to default setting which is thumbnail…I have looked everwhere in addon and on kodi… how can I retain my changes?

Sorry i had something typed and realized i missed something.
Let me see if i can figure this out.
I am guessing not using a build?
When I open my trakt shows it will show default view: thumbnail (when you open menu on left side there are options you can choose…list with descriptions, etc)…but each time I open the show that option returns to default view…which is thumbnail view. This is true for episodes of shows as well as titles. Hope this is more help, thank you.
Correct… no build…I am using confluence skin though on kodi… not the default estuary skin
Ok so i can confirm I am having the same issue.
I used TP kodi fork 21.1. Switched to Confluence skin and had The Crew already installed.
I changed the view options as follows…
In the initial screen listing of Movies, tv shows sports etc.I changed to “Big list”
I then selected “Movies” and chaged the next view option to “Info 2”
I then selected “In Theaters” and selected “Posterwrap”
I then backed out of the addon and opened again.
Inital screen selection of Movies, Tv shows, Sports etc remained in Big List view.
Selected Movies and it remained in Info 2 view.
Selected In Theaters and it was changed back to Thumbnail view.
It was the same if i selected New Movies, Most popular etc.
Are you using a fork version or stock kodi 21.1?
I dont have a solution yet but hopefully someone else knows about this already.
The build i use uses a forked version of Confluence and i dont recall this problem. But i will test it out.
Kodi 21.1… not fork version. Thank you … I’ll keep looking too…I thought perhaps that function was called something else in settings and it just needs to be toggled on…but it’s across all 3 addons I have…Crew, Fen, and Umbrella…

Thank you got the input. Even when I open a show not saved in trackt collection…result is same…reverts to default thumbnail view…maybe I should go back to Kodi 19 or 20…
There should be a view setting somewhere to override it.
I tested on the build i use and it kept all the new view settings in the crew. However when i selected the Trakt option it was not the same as the others.
@MarkxG its not an issue with trakt. Its the view option setting when selecting a menu option. Some people like to see it in List mode, Thumbnail, Fanart etc. Just a preference on their part.
