I watched and enjoyed Brokenwoid and Beyond paradise. Troppo overview description didn’t appeal to me. Maybe I’ll watch an eposide or two and see if it keeps my attention.

Enjoying it. Blowing our own trumpet here, as I do enjoy many US programmes, but we Brits do know how to do great tv dramas. It’s the one thing I enjoy about winter here, hunkering down with the early dark nights and watching some fab tv drama :grinning:.

Yes, living in the UK I have watched the whole of series 1… my thoughts are… “I hope they make another series”. It’s set in the beautiful city of York. If you are over here at any time, try to visit the place… greatly influenced by the Vikings. E.

I thoroughly enjoyed the show. The original French version is available with subtitles but Patience is a copy of the actual show in French.
However there are 3 series available. I would think that Patience will follow, copying the plots from the French version. Depends how patient you are for more :wink:

I enjoyed it as well and hope they do the english version of the other seasons. Me and subtitles don’t get along.

I like that the British have women actors of all ages. Just watched Dear Edward.

As an aside the actress Ella Maisy Purvis (Patience) actually was diagnosed as autistic at age 17 and also ADHD.

Thanks for the advice, Great show as I immediately watched four episodes.
I am also a fan of British, Australian, an New Zealand tv shows but keep an iPad handy to look up phrases and words used in these regions. Closed captions are a help for me

Sounds like my kind of series. However, I can only handle a line or two of subtitles. Wish it was a dubbed English version.

@Mslea , you might find The Crow Girl interesting as well, I just finished it.

It’s on Paramount Plus in the UK but not here in the US, probably soon though. Patience is out standing.

I agree with you about subs, in that I am not a fan of ‘reading’ a television show. :smirk:

I have tried it several times, but I just can’t enjoy what I’m watching if I’m reading subtitles throughtout the whole thing.
