Found a reference in Reddit to this debloat tool. Has anyone tried it?

Personally, I would use a hammer!

If I remember correctly, wasn’t FireStickHacks the people that basically tried to run a copy of Troypoint?

The article in the Reddit link looks to be a rebranded version of ATVTools for Android. Looks a little slimy to me.

I think it was FirestickTricks, but FirestickHacks may do so too.

I think you’re right about that, it was Firestick Tricks but still the article appears to have a rebranded version of ATVTools app, although it might be an early version, I didn’t research it.

I’m having all sorts of download probs too:

  1. Where besides Google Play store van I download the legit ATVTools APK then?

  2. why do all downloads off Downloader browser and Silk error msg: “Downloads not available at this time”???

Any help much appreciated…

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.vodik7.atvtools, this link is for Android phone.

You can install the tools on an Android phone, there is also an iSO version for iPhone and a version for Windows OS.

While I am not saying you can’t do it the tool is designed to work remotely to your Android device. I would not load it on the TV device.

I just got Zank Remote to work and it has a mouse function, available on Amazon and Google stores. But I’ll give ATV Tools a try to. Thanks!

Remember ATV tools also has a PC version and it’s the one I’ve used. Troy has an article here about it. Great tool and easy to use once you get used to the menus.

I know that you are using a firestick, and I have had several. That said, I would like to just comment that one thing that I like about the Nvidea shield, is the shield app that pairs with it, which provides a keyboard, mouse toggle and D-pad. It is very convenient and works well.
