TizenTube App on Firestick/Android TV (Ad-Free YouTube)

I just downloaded the tizen tube a couple of days ago. I finally got a chance to try it today and I really like it. It’s nice not having those ads! Thank you Troy.

The shrinking window was feature that the dev of Smarttube added as before comments would partially block some of the image.

The installation of Tizen Tube on the Firestick was flawless. Works great! However, on my Chromebook tablet, my Google phone and my ONN streaming device I can’t find the TT app in the Play store. What gives?

It’s only available on the devs GitHub page. I don’t think they would allow it on the google playstore lol.

I did originally post the link on another thread but here it is.

Much obliged! Thank you!

Thank you! Any idea where I can download an x86_64 arch version of TizenTubeCobalt? Thanks very much.

The only version I know of is on the link I provided.

cool app but ST beta is better

One thing I encountered upon first use of Tizen w Onn 4k Pro, was they wouldn’t play some videos without a log in. Anyone else have that problem? I signed in as guest, not wanting to use my email to log in. Is it safe to log in? It looks like others have from their posts. Thanks

I logged in and have logged into Smarttube also and have had no issues.

I logged into Tizen with my real Google Account. I want to be able to access my subscribed YouTube channels

Well thanks. I feel better about logging in now.

Thanks, Solo. I guess I’ll log in.

Same thing happened to me, which aggravated me. Happens to me on SmarTube as well. I just change my vpn location until no sign in required. I don’t want to sign in just to want a video.

Smart thinking Mslea. I haven’t considered changing the VPN. Thanks for the tip!

@richricci

VPN Albania country location usually always bypass signin requirement on YouTube alteratives. Another TP insider shared a couple months ago.

Unpair your remote and pair again. Should fix voice issue.

Thank you Peter! I’ll give that a go. :+1: Edit: nope, still the same. :frowning:

I also have Been using smart tube for years. I have downloaded and started checking out the Tizentube. For me, The plus is that it looks exactly like the Youtube app. The minus that the remote requires an extra click after fast forwarding to restart the video. In Smarttube, I click the right remote button for Fast forward and let up and the video starts again. Yes that is a simple thing for me. In Tysontube, I go Fast forward, the video stops and now I have to click the center button to resume watching. A small thing, but for me I’ll stay with Smarttube.

Smart tube is the the best and YouTube is super pissed at the dev.he updates his app almost daily and I’ve sent him a couple of bucks regularly…we watch older stuff like city confidential all the time
