I might have asked this before (sorry), but is there a way to hit select once and go right into the a channel from the epg (TV guide)? Right now, I have to press select twice to do it.

First select puts it in small screen, second select to full screen. I’m not sure if there is a setting to avoid that, but I’ll check it out and let you know if I find it.

Thank you. Is that the only way? In a perfect world (for me) I would like to have the preview on but not go to every channel I highlight, and then press select once to view in full screen that channel. The preview would stay on for the last channel viewed. I know it sounds kind of stupid, but that’s kind of what I am used to from Youtube TV.

Found a way to do this in the guide that Pangaeatech shared (thank you). Under appearance>TV guide>turn off “auto play” and “stay on guide”. Works great.

I’m confused. With the preview on you get a picture in the top left window, then you click on a new channel selection on the EPG and a new preview opens up. Now do nothing and after a short period it opens in full screen, clicking the return arrow in full screen takes you back to the EPG where you can surf for another program while the preview remains on, or while in full screen click enter on your remote to open a lower options panel, then click guide and now you can surf your EPG while your program plays in the background with the EPG in an opaque overlay. Do nothing and about a minute later the overlay disappears and you’re back to full screen. The lower “options” popout has many choices and with it open you click the “down” and another bunch of choices pop up where you can do things like access recordings, multiview, CC and PIP to name a few.
I wasn’t aware that if no selection is made (do nothing) it opens in a full screen as well as clicking enter when in full scree mode…good to know.
@TXRon posted a guide you should look through. TiViMate is amazingly configurable. The options are outstanding.

You can also backup a copy of your current state Tivimate. That way if you get into a mess adjusting settings, customizing, etc, you can just go right back to the old state. Just a thought.
