Are there any other formats available?
TS seems to not like FF/RWD. Gets lost…no matter then external player.
Tried HLS but no luck.
Conversion is a P.I.T.A.
I’m no expert on this part but I believe that’s your only option. I found using an IPTV service with good catch up or a VOD app depending on what your trying to watch much easier.
Hey @Nonya_Biz I have been testing the TiViMate recording on the SK1 and it has absolutely no problems with the MPEG-TS at all. I can record a daily series or a single event and ff/rw/pause/play without any issues.
NOTICE: Anyone using the SK1 and having buffering/glitching/lockups be sure to try the “Amlogic fix” under the Playback settings.
Have you had any audio dropouts on audio?
I have this issue, but the same sports channels from my long standing IPTV doesnt have the issue on their same channels.
No audio drops.
If i search fwd/rwd it can server the connect (smb or ftp) to the USB source.
Happens with all players. I have to start the recording and let it play.
Happens on external drive or USB stick.
I don’t have SMB set up. With the SK1 having a good size internal memory I only have tested recording to it. I am still struggling through the settings and without any help from Ugoos CS to provide a proper manual it’s a matter of guessing. Ugoos is definately not helpful. I will attempt to attach my 256GB SSD this weekend and see if I can set that up for external recording.
Thanks for the come back @Dak7385 . In Tivimate I have audio passthrough enabled as well as “Select surround audio track by default”, no sound issues so far other than my IPTV sub occasional individual channel sound. Audio and visual are both using Hardware acceleration. These settings are in TiViMate Playback section.
Also just to be clear. HLS you have to choose h264 or h265. HLS is usually best for those with slow internet as it is adaptive. I have mine set to MPEG-TS and use x265 HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) this provides me the best audio/visual experience with the best compression (smaller file size).
H265 or X264 are options you can choose on your scraper in apps like Stremio or Kodi. TiViMate only supplies the TS or HLS and of you have good speeds the TS provides a better picture.
