That’s difficult to answer. There are many factors that can cause buffering and each setup could have a wide range of causes. From a bad connection to sunspots. I have a VPN and when I get issues like you describe I switch to various locations until I find one that does the job without issues. What speeds do you have? Are you using just WiFi? Have you tried an ethernet cable? What device are you using? I also have multiple services in case one is having it’s own server issues or maybe affected due to things like hurricanes or power outages, then I can switch services to watch the program I want.
This is a provider issue, not a Tivimate issue. I would contact their customer support and see if they can sort it out. I guess it could be your hardware/internet speed, but normally it is on provider side. I’m not sure what the second sentence means?
This is a provider issue like @AMD237 says. I have seen it with many providers, and I think its there ‘anti-freeze’ technology at work. When it loses connection to the source it will rewind to a certain point and play that over hoping that it can regain that connection by the time it gets to the original stop point. I have seen it with many of my providers and if it happens too frequently I move on to another. Increasing buffer size is about all you can do on your end.
If your provider gave you an Extream Code. Then that is where you install your URL, PW & UN
If your provider gave you an m3u and an epg URL. Then you enter that login info in the M3U Playlist area. Then you will also need to enter in you epg separately.
Either way they are EXACTLY the same. So, that is NOT the problem.
Your issue is a buffering one. Assuming your device and IP speeds are good, and your connections are in order. Then best advice is to reach out to your provider to fix the issue on their end. You could try rebooting your device and modem/router.
Only other thing to try is a complete unplug of everything for several minutes to allow for a reset
FYI, NO provider is 100% buffer free …PERIOD!
A bit of a change of subject is that’s OK.
I have noticed a lot of my recording’s, in particular
20/20 , Dateline ABC @ 48 Hours have been not recording.
After a bit of research I noticed that the recordings being dropped are
repeated shows.
I never seen this before, other than my cable TV recorder via Bell Canada.
The cable “recorder” will not record a previously viewed episode.
Is it possible that one on the newest TiViMate uopdates has something to
with this.
If so, that’s great.
If not, I wonder WT- is going on??

No tivimate only knows date and time, it doesn’t know name of show as far as recording or if it’s a repeat.
It’s a well known issue that Android updates have prevented read/write privileges on external drives. It’s also an issue when using the default folder selection option in Tivimate settings. You have to use the system picker option in the settings and make sure to select a folder in your internal storage. I’ve found that the system picker is a pain to use without a mouse.
I used system picker with my trusty USB mouse.
The issue right now is certian shows.
I have deleted those particular shows(recording schedules) giving me issues
and re-scheduled them.
Same issues.
Interestlingly, shows that are NOT re-runs, for the summer, record fine,
as well as live shows like ball games, news etc.
