… I bought a nvidea clone remote for the z11 and the guy simply loves it over the remote that came with the box.

Hate the shape of the remote. When you release grip to move thumb while making a selection, the remote tilts and slides. You have to consciously hold it tighter than you normally would. Although the Nvidia shield itself as a class device,

actually I got the remote for a guy who has difficulty with remotes due to a stroke hes one handed and he loves the nvidea remote. He handles it well without issues.

Indeed! All about individual preference. I have an father-in-law who loved his firestick, but can’t get around the remote due to arthritis. I configured an old Nokia streaming box remote for him and he loves it.

I have that case on my nvidea remote…kinda rubbery feel, non slip.

Yes sir, I love it. Would recommend it to anyone with the Shield. Sometimes it is the little things, and the non-slip and the better feeling in my hand makes all the difference. By non slip I mean in your hand, and a lot of times not off the couch onto the floor either.

I don’t know why nVida uses the 2032 batteries and the design of the 1 generation remote was really bad, it always seem to slide in between the sofa cushion. This uses standard AA and now they’re shipping with this new model. It olny took 5 yrs. to get it right.

I didn’t have the 1st gen remote, but if it was 2032 batteries than I can tell you I probably wouldn’t have liked it lol. I do like the newer generation Shield Remotes though, the AA is easy to switch out when needed.

Your post was pure genius, thanks for sharing. I laughed out loud, literally. I do things like this as well haha. I put tape on my Mom’s remotes and labeled them with numbers so the cheat sheet she uses can say, “Use remote 1, hit source…”
