Tivimate companion captcha verify loop

I downloaded TiviMate Companion from APKpure. When I opened it it asked to update to lattest ver 1.3.7. Which was the same ver that was on Google Play Store, but this one worked. Thanks for everyone’s help.

All this was done using BlueStack 5 on a windows 11 laptop.

OMG I have never been so frustrated with an APP. I have downloaded tivimate companion onto my laptop win 11… to bluestacks. I log in then a captcha just continuously loops forever. I only have firesticks and windows laptop. Why Tivimate makes it so difficult to pay or update my tivimate account boggles my mind. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you have an android phone? That’s the easiest. It isn’t difficult, but having to add an app to windows to get an android app is a recipe for problems. Sorry I just saw you only have a computer and firesticks. Updating tivimate is done in the app itself. Are you saying you have a tivimate sub already? If so you don’t need the companion app anymore, only to keep track of the devices you’ve installed it on.

Hi Miki, I do have an account with tivimate but I want to pay them a lifetime rather than annually. Also, I am helping my 80 yr old neighbor with IPTV and they want Tivimate. All they have is a firestick and an Ipad. I have installed Tivimate on their firestick and the url for the iptv but they want the premium version and I am having such a problem getting the companion for them to pay. Hope all makes sense.

Woohoo. I managed to create a new tivimate account with the tivimate companion I installed on bluestacks. I Paid for a lifetime subscription. I managed to get around the looping captcha by using the headphone option where they play something and then you enter what you heard. I will just create an account for my neighbour. Problem solved LOL. Took me hours to get to this point trying everything. Damn… just realized I will likely have to reinstall tivimate with the new account. :hot_face: on all four firesticks.

Nobody can say you aren’t tenacious. Way to go. Just log out of your existing install and log back in with your new creds.

How to Reset Tivimate Username and Password

Here are the steps on how to reset your TiviMate username and password:

  1. Open the TiviMate app on your Android device.
  2. Click on the three horizontal lines in the top left corner of the screen to open the app’s menu.
  3. Scroll down to the “Settings” option and click on it.
  4. Under the “Account” section, click on the “Change login details” button.
  5. Enter your current TiviMate username and password, and then click on the “Next” button.
  6. On the next screen, you will see options to change your username, password, or email address. Select the option that you want to change and enter the new details.
  7. Once you have entered your new details, click on the “Save” button.
  8. You will receive a confirmation message that your details have been updated successfully.

I am using a firestick max. #3 & #4 above say to go to settings, select ACCOUNT. There is no account to select. Would the version of tivimate be different on a firestick than the version on an android box.
I do not see where on tivimate to enter new credentials.

Under settings…About…I see my original Tivimate account name but I can only scroll down to privacy police. scroll will no go down far enough to my Tivimate account details. AAAgggghhhhh. I cannot even find support to ask for a refund.

If I had it installed on a firestick I would go into manage apps, click on Tivimate and clear data, not just cache, then restart the stick, click on Tivimate, and when it opens it should prompt you to activate “premium” and then simply enter your new login. Failing that, delete TiVimate and then reinstall it and do the same as you did the first time you installed it. On my Shield Pro I don’t have 3 horizontal lines, nor is there an “account” section in TiviMate. There is a TiviMate account but I can’t click on it. If I wanted to I could delete it or clear data. There is a link I can go to to cancel my sub, but I wouldn’t do that.

I gave up on trying to help the neighbours. Kept running into crazy stuff that just got way too frustrating. Why Tivimate make it so hard to change a subscription boggles my mind. And, trying to get tivimate companion is insane too unless you have an android box. Have a nice evening.

Och,… I have another question. This latest update on my 4k max has left me with 745mb available storage. :rage:. On one of my old firesticks I did install the debloat tool. I cannot remember if if freed up space or not. I do not have that many apps on my devices. One App surprised me was IPvanish, size was 1.5gb. Adding storage worked for a bit then for some reason apps with the wee firestick icon in apps all disappeared. Has adding storage worked for you. I assume you have done that before. :slightly_smiling_face:

I haven’t used any of my sticks for months now. I’ve shifted my focus to Android TV. With all these over the top changes Amazon is making, and the issues they have caused, not to mention they were unaware of them before releasing Fire OS 8, makes me question their focus and reliability. So I haven’t even touched the new 2nd gen 4K Max. I may do so in about another 4 months, but for now I’m guiding my customers towards the cheap ONN for basic users. I do have a powered hub with gig ethernet port and USB ports for added storage and mini keyboard dongle, attached to my Maxx with a Sandisk 16GB USB drive. Hasn’t seen the light of day since I got back to Canada.

I cannot find that ONN in Canada.
