Tivimate Apollogroup EPG Guide problem

Currently using Apollo Group Tv and Xooms IPTV for service. Unfortunately, they no longer support support for EPG through TiviMate. Looking for a good premium EPG service that will apply to both. Thanks for your help.

It’s really easiest to just sign up for another IPTV provider. But if you’re determined to fix it yourself, here you go. I highly recommend watching their YouTube tutorials and figuring out as much as you can before signing up for the 5 day trial.

On their Discord channel they said it’s down and no timetable on when it’ll be fixed.

welcome

The only complaint I have about Xtremetv is I have to constantly refresh the EPG every two days. Frustrating but better than Apollo which buffered no matter what I did.

I might be wrong here, but I use Tivimate with a different IPTV service and I never have to refresh the EPG. Isn’t there a setting for auto updating the EPG daily in Tivimate? I would check right now, but I am watching something I don’t want to stop and restart. Please feel to correct me if I am wrong.

No, you are right. You can set your playlists and epgs to update daily or in a variety of ways.

The only problem I have with xtreme EPG is going to go down like it did. I never have to refresh it unless it screwed up at their end.

I have to refresh it every two days…what am I doing wrong? And now they are only available on Firestick or Android box and I can’t log on. Geez

On Apollo groups home page it clearly states that there service does not work well with tivimate and that they recommend using their own player.

Sweet. I will try it out. Ive been using Apollo for a few years and its been annoying that their EPG stopped working with TiviMate. I prefer to use TiviMate since there more features/settings, etc. a better overall interface for a TV guide

Which IPTV service are you using?

You are absolutely correct. I have 3 services loaded and never have to do anything with the EPG.
Settings>EPG> now here it’s all up to you what settings you want. Here is my setup.
Past days to keep EPG 1
Store program descriptions> enabled
Update interval, hours 4
Update on app start> enabled
Update on playlists change> enabled
Now down the very bottom is “Latest update status” and if one of your services is having difficulty there will be a notice of “failed to update(service name), and that is the service you need to contact and ask them to reset your service or check that you have entered the EPG URL correctly. The EPG URL can be found under settings>(Service name)>EPG sources>Manage sources>(Service name) and if extreme code should look like this:
http://**-iptv.com:80/xmltv.php?username=************password=”“”“”“”“”“”"

I have two services. ITTechBasics and Digitalizard. I have not had a problem with EPG in Tivimate for the one year I have been using it.

I think alot is in the service provider. I have 3 and there EPG is very good but one of them has no EPG on locals but good for everything else. I think Apollo wants you to use there app and dont care about fixing it so you can watch it with tivimate or sparkle. A friend of mine has Apollo and just uses there app and he really likes it. I tried to get him up with tivimate but the same thing could not get it to work

Hey Miki! Can you explain your logic for the 4 hour update interval? The rest of my Tivimate settings are the same as yours except my interval is set for 24 hours. I have 2 IPTV Providers and I always have about a 10 minute wait for my EPG’s to finish updating at start of “NO INFORMATION” watch session. Is there a free Browser related EPG addon that can be customized to match a Channel Favourites list to cover that delay?

4 hr update time is just a number I picked. Just an experiment. There really isn’t any advantage to it over the 24 hr setting. What IPTV player are you using. I have TiVimate and it contains a setting allowing you to search for EPG Info in the epgs you have assigned to your playlist. I have about 5 to 7 EPGs on every playlist. Do a search on the insider for acidjesuz and you’ll find a bunch of free ones you can add to help.
