I cut the cord about 15 years ago. I used Kodi and addons like the Genesis and Exodus on Firesticks. I tried a couple IPTV services back when they were under $10/mo. Ultimately I gave up on IPTV because I didn’t watch sports anymore, I stopped watching news, and wtf watches programming on a schedule. Besides almost everything was on Those addons. New ones came out like Seren but they were all glitchy and Firesticks weren’t very good.
Then came Syncler. It’s was free at first. It was stand alone so you didn’t need Kodi or builds or addons. Since then I have never left. It’s the best. Recently there’s been some shake up but it has been largely sorted out.
Then about 2 years ago TROYPOINT posted about the Alibaba IPTV device for $19/yr. I bought a subscription and a second year from a different vendor for $30/yr and a third subscription for my parents. All the subscriptions have worked the entire length of time and nearly flawlessly. It’s not perfect and HD sports can buffer now and then but for $30/yr it’s basically free.
My total yearly expense for my services are:
Syncler: <$40/10 devices
Alibaba IPTV: $30/1 device at a time
Real-Debrid: <$37/yr with fidelity points
Btw, I use a Nvidia Shield which is complete garbage for its price, particularly compared to ONN 4k devices which are on my 3 other TVs and projector.
