Surfshark vpn problems

OK. I bit the bullet and went from IPvanish to Surfshark. My speeds on Analiti were in the 300’s with IP, and are in the low 100’s at best. Used the tutorial and tried all the protocols. The help section says to change encryption method. Can’t seem to find that. Changed locations, etc. All the normal stuff. Using Nvidia Shield Pro, current model.

Wireguard is my fastest protocol so I generally stay on it…& I also find the city/servers closest to my physical location tend to give me the most consistent top speeds…with some server tweaking, if needed. I used to have IPV & SS is a bit faster for me.

Don’t give up. As it was already said, wireguard will typically give you the best speeds. As well, find the cities closest to you, test the speed then mark them as favorites so they will always be right there when you look at the app. I switched to SS after using IPV for two years and it’s been nothing but great regarding speeds, stopping ads that was never a huge problem anyway and certainly the comfort of a kill switch on the Fire stick that IPV still have no plans for. I just can’t see going back or switching unless the VPN had that feature. It’s a must.

Same for me. Using servers close to me it’s slow. I get best speeds using New York servers. I’m in Tampa area. Still not as fast as IPVanish.

Interesting, surfshark was faster for me than ipvanish.

I guess Tampa’s a problem for them. Brandon, here…Not THAT brandon.

Maybe the infrastructure in Florida is still a bit wonky after the major hurricane? Have you run speed test with and without a vpn connected?

Why, yes I have. Mid 400’s without. Less than 100 with. I blew Surfshark out. Here’s hoping they give the refund they promised. I also got vpnprivacydot. Back to the mid 300’s to 400’s with IPvanish.
Thank you all for your generous comments.
