Surfshark 🔑 not appearing on Firestick

Each time I have reinstalled the app it tells me a :key: will appear when vpn is active. Sounds like what the vpn dot used to do. The thing is it never has shown on my firestick. Should it show up for a firestick?

I have read other topics that state it shows up on their Android boxes but nothing addressing firestick.

Is there a setting I need to check to have the key appear? I do have the kill switch on for safety but I would like seeing the key :key: especially since it tells me it will appear.

I think the key is for devices that show an info bar (top), maybe there are some devices that hv that (besides phones), the info bar usually isnt configured to TV

As you said, sum of us use a privacy dot for that reason

Some vpns will make a yellow dot on your settings button on the FStick when on or might have a mark on the vpn icon.

I have SS on two firesticks and never ever seen that. I could be for other devices. I will be installing one in the next day on a new one and will let you know if I even see the information saying it will.

@Sketch is correct. That key symbol is common with vpn’s and appears in the top task bar of your phone and other stock android devices with a top bar. Had it for years.

The only device I’ve seen a key on is my Formuler Z10 Pro Max which appears with any VPN I run. Have yet to see a key on any other box I use

Key only shows on phones and tablets like Ron said.

i’ve only seen the key on my phone, not on any fire sticks setup so far.

An indicator icon shows on my tablet, phone and on my SS extension on Edge, but I have never seen one show on my NVidias.
