Well I switched from ipvanish to surfshark on my nvidia shield. But now apps like downloader and brower tv will not work unless I am NOT connected to surfshark. So what good is surfshark, they worked on ipvanish?

It’s the protocols, I switch to one of the OPENVPNs and they work use wireguard or ikev2 and they do not.
Ahhh. K. Good you have a working solution. Could be your Internet provider doesn’t support Wireguard or Internet Key Exchange V2… OpenVPN UDP is faster than OpenVPN TCP.

Ya but now you have SS and two protocols that work. So that’s all that really matters.
You might look in advanced settings and turn off everything except small packets(leave that on) also make sure you are not set to multi hop and try the new york server.
That was it. I had turned the small packets off when I installed it. Turned it back on and they are working.
