Am not sure what’s going on with my Samsung Galaxy S7 phone. I have the kill switch enabled and the VPN active. I run a DNS leak test and it shows my real IP. I have reached out to Surfshark and they seem to not be able to get a handle on the problem. They recommended setting up a static IP but that did not work. This is the worst kind of problem because it is random. Seems to happen more often than not when my phone goes into sleep mode.
Yeah…that’s my go to…odd, only on my phone as far as I know. Works on Firestick ok, I hope.
Dosen’t give me a very secure feeling for sure.
I went on a site today that blocks vpns and the page loaded fine. That tipped me off and sure enough the DNS leak check showed my real IP. Surfshark was active saying I was protected.
not sure whats going on. Generally a good vpn will block ipv6 which is the leaker in most cases. I have surfshark and mine is blocking leaks. If you are seeing an ip that looks like yours make sure to verify your actual ip for comparison. Checking vpn leaks can be confusing because often outbound ips will be similar. do the extended test and verify that the actual ip doesnt match those listed.
