Surfshark causing IPTV issues?

I have tried tunneling with an IPTV App I use and it doesn’t work. I have to turn off Surfshark on my wireless router, restart the Firecube, then I can access the app. I can turn Surfshark back on while using the App and it works OK, but if I switch to the other IPTV App it will not connect and I have to do the same routine.

i only use SS for torrenting.i’ve never used it for streaming in 7yrs and never a problem?
maybe just me but other members report the same? just sayin

Really funny that at times my SS works just fine, then I’ll get buffering and turn off SS and it works fine. Then after awhile I need to turn it on because buffering is back. I’d probably just keep it off when using just my IPTV then back on when using Stremio or Kodi. Maybe the uograde that SS just did might help. We’ll see. Also I tried Proton’s free and it didn’t seem to help. Probably because it’s free and servers aren’t that good

Thanks for the input

Thanks. I have to turn off the VPN, restart the fire cube, then logon on the app. I turn on Surfshark & I can access all the channels. But if I exit the app, I have to go through the routine again.

Thanks. Yeah I get buffering to.

Here is a sincere question from someone that has used an IPTV service for over ten years but has never used a VPN. Is using a VPN service actually worth it? It seems like SurfShark, which is the best according to TroyPoint, causes a heck of a lot of headaches and issues.

You should do what you want to do. But myself, I am aware that about everything is tracked somewhere in the internet world. And it never goes away even if deleted by the user. The organizations that make $$ off of everything that they produce have a vested interest in stopping all streaming since it is losing a revenue stream. And if there is a government, like Italy, that is receptive to chasing down folks that are by passing that money tree… I really don’t want to find out how that goes. Of course this is just me.

Really, really happy with SurfShark. I have noticed the past several days that the closest servers to me have been down. But the Vancouver server has been zooming Mbps’s a lot higher than I’ve ever received from any VPN. I did read that SS is installing new faster servers.

I have used some of the Best VPNs out there. ExpressVPN. NordVPN and have now settled on ProtonVPN. None have caused me any issues with streaming at all, and I will never connect to the net without an active VPN. IMHO it is one app that should be the first install on any new device.

Been using KODI since 2018 and IPTV for about 3 years. Never used a VPN. Most here do and I would guess a lot do because most here do. Just letting you know there are those of us that do not use a VPN and we are good.

Thanks, your comment helped me.
