Surfshark causing blocked windows searching

It seems lately I have to turn off Surfshark more often to get into many websites. Are others experiencing this issue?

More and more websites are using VPN detection software.

Just google do websites use VPN detection software and look at the AI results to get an explanation why?

It’s the ad blocker. Turn it off and you will be able to go to those sites.

Is the Ad blocker in Surfshark?

Yes. It’s called clean web.

It most definitely is!!!
Seems like just about everything i go to i have to turn off my surfshark, which I hate being left vulnerable like this. One day i was even hacked on facebook and had never been. But i forgot it was off. It’s getting ridiculous.I’ve sent in the urls and dns’s not too block even but it still does. Anyone know of a better one that doesn’t suck your speed down.

welcome

I have been experiencing the same frustrations with Surfshark. Miki recommends turning off Cleanweb however, I am hesitant to do that because then I will be tracked and cookied all over the place. My Surfshark is due to renew soon. I would be interested in a more accommodating VPN… if one is available.

I have the same problem with some websites, but it normally corrects itself over time. Does anyone use Surfshark security, and if so, how does it work? Thanks

I thought it was just me but all the problems everybody is talking about and also on my Shield Pro it was just freezing up my streams\streaming apps until I turned it off and\or switched locations. After a little research I found a post from Surfshark support in r\surfshark on Reddit explaining it’s minor incompatibilities with ethernet connected Android devices. I bought a Proton sub (on special now-10 devices-2 years-Ā£55, about $48) and all my problems went away. No more dropping my connection, speed increased by at least 40%. Couldn’t be happier. Let me be clear, my issues were mostly on the Shield Pro. I’m not putting down Surfshark and I know they are one of Troy’s sponsors. Just letting you guys know my experience and what I found that Surfshark put out there.

Still blocks sites with ad blocker off on most server locations. 2 or 3 work intermediately and other never work on any location.

Yes. Eventhough the URL is listed in ā€œBypasserā€.

I followed troy over to surf shark and havent had nothing but trouble with it. Cant wait till it expires so i can go back to ipvanish

I was having trouble with accessing PNC bank website. This is where you realy do need the protection of a vpn. After investigation i found the ā€˜local’ browser for PNC was Atlanta. Changed to that browser and it all works beautifuly.

We all feel your pain. The best ?I have been able to do is use BRAVE browser with SurfShark. What one misses the other picks up. No problems so far or maybe I’m just to ignorant to know. I’ve been working computers since the early 80s. IT’S NUTS THESE DAYS!

When I talked to support about that, and issues clicking emails that have links where I’d have to turn off the VPN for it to work and then back on… They had me change the IP address for I think the DNS lookup on the router. It worked for a short time.

I have found that, yes sometimes changing locations can make a huge difference too. I have favorited, Miami, Atlanta, Dallas, and Chicago area.
