Surfshark 3.2 connection issues

i went back to 3.1 and works fine i guess until i have to update again. i use ipvanish on my computers SS don’t work well on them go figure

SurfShark is claiming they are headquartered in Northern Europe. They are useless and do not support several apps. Dump it.

Support staff plays games. They say “five more minutes,” which turns into five more hours with no results.

In fact, they screwed up so badly that I lost wifi and had to do a hard reset to everything.

Get your refund while you can.

Once they are tired of you, they address via email one email at a time…you get ONE message per DAY & because they refuse to read the issue when you were in CHAT, you repeat everything every day. Finally you just give up.

I paid a tech consultant to review other VPNs. Basically a waste.

SurfShark needs to be boycotted NOW.

I admit that surfshark is contankerous however I email the tech support and they’ve always help me out.

I’m glad it’s not just me, I’ve been having connection issues since the latest update to 3.2. How do I go back to 3.1?

After using SS for a year I signed up for 3years at a very cheap price but about 2weeks later it stopped working! After about 20 messages for help nothing worked! I gave up.Terrible customer service. I now use Nord & after 2 years I have never had any problems.

The new update caused sever buffering on all my services. I loaded up ipvanish and no more buffering. I like SS better because ipvanish has new app issues too but buffering is not one of them

I have had a few issues with SS since switching. Sometimes it takes a while to connect. It will connect up to 95% and then stay that way for about 5 minutes or so. If I leave it connected my download speed (on the SS display) has actually shown that it was at negative KB (ie -3.5KB), which I did not realize was possible. I have sent multiple messages to customer service. Most of the time I simply have to reboot the service. I like many things about SS, but the connection issue is becoming frustrating.

Been with Nord for more years than i care to remember. Excellent support and only 1 issue ever some years ago with bbc iplayer.

Wouldn’t change, despite all the marketing hype on various forums and self interested and promoting reviewers on the internet.

I’m switched to SS and will stay with them simply for the fact of the Kill Switch. Proton nor Nord have that.

Proton certainly does have a kill switch and on Android the following shows you where to turn it on.

I hope Troy isn’t still pushing SurfShark. I’ve trusted his recommendations, but he lost credibility on this one.
Frequently I try to load a page and nothing happens. I put SS on “pause”, and my page loads. Irritating…

I’m kind of surprised that Troy hasn’t voiced his opinion on what’s going on with SurfShark.

Not for the Shield it doesn’t.

Many features aren’t accessible for streaming devices. It’s one of my biggest beefs with them. I won’t be renewing with them once my 2 yr sub ends. Probably go back to ExpressVPN.

@yragha1 Nord do have a kill switch.

Nord doesn’t on the Shield, last I looked.

@Mxyzptlk Maybe i misunderstood your post. I thought you didnt have Nord to be able to confirm your statement.

And i can’t answer for the shield. It works on my Samsung phone, my minix set top box, my mac, my Ugoos AM 8 and my Android TV.

If it is not in your settings, i would be surprised. But, then again it might be an android tv. But that would be strange because it shows in the settings of my Android tv.

If not, drop support at Nord a line.

I’ll have a look. Had a 2yr sub, don’t use it anymore. Kill switch was not available couple months ago I know that for a fact on Shield.

@Mxyzptlk Ok…thanks for the clarification.

Most of what SS has become has happened after Troy originally recommended SS. And maybe caused by the mass of new people that went over to SS. They have a great concept, they have great features, just things they need to work on.
