Suggestion for Troy to add Remote Capabilities during reviews of Media boxes or sticks

Being able to easily transfer Apk’s to a friend or just our own Firesticks would be great. I spent a great deal of time setting up a firestick for my cousin recently that could have been much faster. Having said that, mostly we delete the apk’s once we install the app. Remote access for a customer base would be beneficial to all.

read up on tailscale. Its a local lan vpn(wireguard) and can “reach out” with proper setup. Takes a little digging to figure it out, might be worth a shot. Tailscale is a lifesaver on lan devices tho.

Try wireless file manager. Works a treat. Teamviewer works well to on your own network to transfer and remove apks.

I have used teamview for years when Remote access was not possible on a pc. I am only interested in FireStick access and transfers between them not having to use Appstofire. I will look up your suggestion and see if it’s available either in the play store or as a side load. Thank you

Teamviewer would be my first choice for this as Wireless File Manager only does one file at a time. Also Downloader is great for installing apks. Like I said I use free cloud storage (Sync.com). I can create a share link of a whole folder of apks. Use AFTnews url shortner. Creates me a downloader code of my apks. Then once page loaded in Downloader I have the option to download all of them at once by downloading them as a zip file. Unzip with a good filemanger and all your apks are ready to install. Gold !!!

I use the Send Anywhere app to do pretty much what you are explaining.

I use Send Anywhere and a cloud within File Explorer to store and grab apks, m3u files, etc on multiple devices.

Can you recommend an android box and app for remote access? You can pm me. Thanks

Look online. Team Viewer is in the playstore, then there’s AnyDesk. The list is very big and it’ll be up to you to decide which one, or ones, will do what you want. Depends on what device and OS.

I have looked. I am looking for recommendations. What works well. Tested a few and they all have their issues. Very hard to test alot if ypu are just one person.

But not everyone uses the same devices or even the same OS as you do. So if you want precise help or suggestions you’ll need to narrow that down with more info. What exactly do you want to do? What have you tested? Team Viewer, for example, is what I use to use for Windows.

I’ve used Team Viewer for years. Great program. I used it mostly for Windows but yes, it runs on our devices as well. It’s just not want I use it for.

I wonder if this Parallel app would allow you to access the Nvidia Shield TV Remote app on a phone or tablet and then use the Shield Remote TV app to configure stuff on your Nvidia device all remotely.

This way you could use the camera function to see the TV screen and use the Shield TV Remote app to do stuff on Tivimate, settings, or any other app you wished. Basically Parallel would control the remote stuff and a zoom call would supply the visual.

I sure love the out of the box thinking you always do. :upside_down_face:

If I were still doing box setups. I would try that parallel thing and if it worked. I would then tell people I will help them if they buy a Shield pro. lol
