STRMR App on Firestick/Android TV (Install & Review Guide)

I got this working with my AIoStreams that I use for Stremio. On STRMR I went to Settings/Add Custom Scraper. In Stremio app on PC, I went to Addons then Then clicked on Gear Wheel in AioStreams addon which takes you to the configuration page of AioStreams. Put in the password that you previously saved when you set up in Stremio. Then go to Save and Install icon on AioStreams Config page. Then select Install, then copy the link. Email yourself with the link. Then on phone, retrieve the emailed link and copy the URL and paste it into the Add Custom Scraper field on Android device (STRMR/Settings/Scrapers/Add Custom Scraper). You will need a Remote App on phone to paste into URL field. For ONN device I used Remote for Android. On Iphone you would use Google TV App. The only thing I don’t like is, you can’t tell which links are Torrentio, Debrido, Strem Tru and ect.

Very helpful, thank you! You continue to be the best source for updated advice and insight. Happy New Year.

Are you signed in to a google account on the device? You don’t need to put information in it will use the google account you are logged in to on the device. Just click the button.

It is for future syncing the way Stremio and others are, only they use a google account instead of a log in and password.

You are not logged in to the app it just stores you google account for future updates to sync your account, like Stremio and others do.

There’s nowhere to sign up through Google. The page just doesn’t exist.

The page only shows singing in with a user name and password….no place at all to sign up or establish an account.

Like I said, the apk on the Toolbox doesn’t allow installation because of a parsing error and the apk from the Strmr GitHub site doesn’t have the Google signup page.

Have you enabled or added the scrapers in the scraper section?

There is no sign up page, if you are logged in to a google account on your device and only have 1 google account on the device it just uses the one you are logged in to. If you do not see different accounts at the bottom of the page then you only have 1 account linked to the device you are using and it will just use that one.
I am not a tech guy, but I assume it works kind of like a website placing a cookie on your browser, so it knows it is you when you come back. That may be a poor analogy, but best I have, sorry.

Not sure why you deleted the post, but glad it worked for you and you liked it, maybe that changed has changed, if you have issues you know the DEV or admins will help get you sorted out.

Not sure what you mean by a burner account. I have several Google accounts and Google always knows it’s me. It recognizes my device. I’d love to have an anonymous account if that’s possible

So what do I enter on the sign in page?

Neither the user name or the email address (along with the password) that my device is signed into Google works.

There’s no ā€˜Sign in with Google’ option like there is on the tutorial.

Sorry for the confusion but shortly after I posted, I had something happen on my SK1 that’s scared me in to removing it for now so I didn’t want to give someone else the wrong impression. I still have it on my Tablet and I’ll keep playing around with that one but the SK1 didn’t like something about it. I was watching something from my Torbox cloud and when I went to back out the screen started to go sporadic but couldn’t do anything with the remote then the display led power indicator bar went red and the box shut right down. I couldn’t get it to go back on using the remote so I had to unplug the box for 5 minutes and when I plugged it back in after it rebooted it was OK. So being the chicken I am I just uninstalled for now.

SK1 has never done that in over a year that I’ve owned it. :person_shrugging:

That is odd, and I will say I completely understand, our minds say what did i change last and we change it back.

I installed STRMR and it works fine, EXCEPT, I get these Real-Debrid errors. I’ve not been
able to download any links. Real-Debrid HTTP ERROR 451 (says to try out of the country VPN)
and that didn’t make any difference. Using Umbrella it has always and still works fine.
Next error I’m getting is NOT CACHED, THIS TORRENT IS NOT CACHED ON REAL-DEBRID
TRY SELECTING A DIFFERENT SOURCE MARKED WITH (+)

When I try again after getting the 2nd error, it pops up with the first error?

Any Ideas? I must be missing something. I’m using an ONN device.

By the way, Real-Debrid and Trakt both installed just fine.

No favourites in STRMR so far. I was having issues last night with it starting the stream and then it would play for a couple of minutes then out back to the sources screen. Still awkward with the subtitles screen. It would be better if we could turn off subs altogether and then only turn them on when needed. Subs aren’t consistent. You can try to invoke the sub choice popout and then back out of the movie, go back onto the movie and get a whole new selection of subs. Also shutting down the movie and closing out of the movie, when you start back up it doesn’t restart play from where you left off.

Yes. Both that were included. I disabled Surfshark and was able to get content to play. There seems to be an issue between STRMR and Real Debrid.

I had a couple of burner accounts already so i used one of them.i like everything on it so far.only problem is it won’t connect my trakt for some reason.not sure if it is me or the strmr app it’s self.hope will get fixed though.

I have Real Debrid authorized in STRMR and it’s pulling lots of streams

I have my Trakt shows/Movies connected in STRMR. Perhaps try Reauthorizing to see if it works for you

Then how did you login to try it. My STRMR app downloaded from Troy’s toolbox has login with Google as the only option when initially opened.

I have been helping friends setup new gmail accounts and TV streaming options as our community is switching over to fiber and pulling the plug on Spectrum cable. Used my phone to verify Google accounts. Now, Google says my phone has reached a hard limit and can not be used again to setup a Google burner account for myself. No way to reset this per the web. Guess I could borrow someone else’s phone for this, but I will wait for a non-Google sign-in option that hopefully will be incorporated in the future by the developer. Shame there is no other choice.
