Stremio with Torrentio add-ons suddenly not streaming

@Miki Thanks Miki.

Thanks Miki, and thanks everyone else involved in the topic. I found the instructions for Meteor thanks to Miki, so I will be playing with that at some point. Meanwhile, I spent some time yesterday fiddling, got frustrated, and ended up installing TorBox: problem is now solved: streams work again, and no annoying buffering. I hope this holds for a while. Don’t know why Premuimized isn’t working at this time, but I’m very relieved there was a ready alternative. Will be playing with Meteor in the future also, to add some flexibility if things go belly up again. Thanks to Miki, Troy, and everyone else involved and chipping in the comments. Those of you noticing lack of working streams in Stremio right now, just know that I was able to get back to “normal” with TorBox (at least for now), and just from personal experience during this outing, problem doesn’t seem to be VPN related, as I reconfigured my VPN, turned completely off, etc, without any impact on streams.

I have had so many problems with Streamio and it has become so difficult to get a tv show to play, I am starting to look elsewhere for a streaming app that plays live TV. Any suggestions?

Stremio is not meant for live tv, its more for VOD. If you are looking for a live tv player, you should look at Tivimate, Implayer, etc.

I have found that with surfshark i will not get any streams if surfshark is connected. It did not matter where i connected. Did not try out of country. I researched, and found that torrentio was blocking streams when surfshark was running. Something about blacklisted IP’s is my guess. I switched VPN and immediately found streams to watch. So somehting with torrentio, and surfshark.

@mjparmley On my Stremio, Torrentio gets blocked on Charlotte but Comet, MediaFusion and Duck work great. Too lazy to change servers just so Torrentio shows. On Kodi, Torrentio never gets blocked.

Are you using SS/Charlotte with Kodi? It’s getting to the point where none of the Canadian servers (that used to work) work now with stremio/torrentio and I haven’t found a US server that can get Torrentio (with SS). If I turn off SS, I get the Torrentio streams, no problem..

@sktn77a Yes, I use SS with Kodi and to the best of my recollection, I get Torrentio fine.

I leave the server on Charlotte with clean web toggled off.

Torrentio TB+ and Torrentio PM+ Have not stopped working for me and providing sources inside any addons I have them enabled in as well as independently. I have about 12 good server numbers in Canada using Nord. Have fun and Stream on!!!

Dont have Torbox but Torrentio PM+ is gone if I use Surfshark.

Don’t know why SS would be blocking Torrentio PM+ . I use Nord, and have Torrentio active in Nuvio and Stremio both without issues.

Didn’t mean SS is blocking Torrentio, it’s Torrentio that is blocking (SS) VPN IP addresses.

Ahhh gotcha. Lots of apps are blocking certain VPN server addresses. I took about 30 minutes to find Nord Servers that weren’t blocked and then made a note of those so I could connect to those when needed.
