Just an example. Sort of a master control for addons allowing you to enable and disable as you want, streamlines scraping as well as debrid adding etc.
Installed DuckStreams per Troy’s setup instructions – setup Torbox and Premiumize with Quick Start. Should I now delete both Torrentio and Comet add-ons with Torbox and Premiumize as duplicative/redundant ?
Wait for a while to see if DuckStreams serves your needs. Won’t hurt anything and will give you a comparison.
Yeah I see your point and a lot more sources to pick from…well worth the $10
They have a lifetime special on $59.99 when checking out you enter JOINEARLY to get the $20 off from $79.99
Are new Samsung and LG Smart TVs capable of installing and running Stremio, Nuvio and Syncler (using Debridio and Torbox/Premiumize), and an IPTV service without buffering or other issues – or is a dedicated streaming device always superior ?
I would say dedicated streaming is always superior. I am fairly sure the new smart TV’s are capable of running them, I just don’t know why you would want to.
If there’s a dedicated app for their OS, I would imagine so.
A friend just bought a Samsung 85" mini-LED TV which is hung over a large non-working fireplace. His modem and router are in one of the floor cabinets beside the fireplace. Prior TV connected via Wi-Fi only using internal apps (YouTube TV, etc.). There is no HDMI cable run to the back of the TV. A separate streaming box would require running a cable through the walls into the attic and back down the wall behind the TV. He would like to avoid doing this if it is not essential.
He could certainly use an Onn 4k stick without this but I’m not sure how much better that would be than using the apps directly on the Samsung. I have always used separate streaming devices myself.
Tell him to get the onn 4K pro if he can find one. Mine is velcroed to the rear of my TV. Went to Lowe’s and bought industrial strength Velcro.
Sounds like a good solution even for his TV which is mounted with fixed mounts directly to the wall. The new 4k Pro (2026) looks fairly thin and would probably fit behind the TV as suggested. Thanks.
Still curious if anyone is running Stremio or Nuvio internally on a smart TV – and how the overall performance is. Maybe a mute point now with WingRider’s approach, but still would like to know for future reference.
I’ve installed it on several Google TV’s. Sony, TCL, and Hisense. They essentially have the streaming box built-in.
Hey thanks. I never thought of using AI!
