Is there a way to determine when Stremeo is down? Getting a middleware error right now.

Do a search on the net. There are a number of sites like down detector that will tell you if Stremio is down. At this time it’s running just fine.

I USED TO love Stremio. I went away from it for 6 months and got KODI going. I like KODI better now. For me, it’s what I’m now used to.

I’m the exact opposite. I heard so many promoting Kodi and so I dove right in. After a couple of months I gave it up. Way to much effort for no gain. Addons failing, devs quitting, new releases almost weekly. For me I find Stremio to be superior in every way. Stable, dependable, reliable, addons just work. I don’t care about how an app looks or the landing page. I only care that it works as advertised and does so efficiently.
Good thing we have both Kodi and Stremio to cover almost anything we need, and get what we want.

You are spot on. I set Stremio up on the new ONN Box I got along with Kodi. We are set no matter what.

Question, Is Torrentio the only add on we need inside Stremio or are there others to help pull in additional links?

There are a lot of addons. I also have Premiumize and Real Debrid. I use torrentio, Comet, media fusion, Zamuda, Fmovies and Jackettio. They are more than enough, overkill really.

I haven’t had any addons fail and the only Dev that has retired is Tikepeter after many years and another dev has made a fork of his addon and Tikipeter is actually giving them guidance.
The addons I use all update automatically so no maintenance needed.

That’s the same experience I’ve had with Stremio. Never ever worry about addons failing. The episode with Torrentio was the only one in years. You’re a rare bird not having issues with Kodi or addons. Never was my experience and even after I gave Kodi a year break and went back to it. It hadn’t changed. Still a pita. But I am going to stop my Kodi comments as this thread is about Stremio.

@Miki KODI Addons do die but the good ones last sometimes for years. I used The Crew for over 2 years (I think it still works) before switching over to Umbrella many months ago and that is working flawlessly. There’s a ton of "rare birds’ here that use KODI flawlessly. And remember in the recent Troypoint Poll KODI was the winner as the best streaming app  Stream on my friend!

Ya that poll should ask how many ppl have problems with Kodi. It is by far and away the biggest number of posts on the insider. There are way less, and I mean a lot less , for Stremio issues. It just works with way less effort. Love the config stored in the cloud for Stremio, Kodi not.

I use Premiumize. Are there any TP videos on how to add more to Stremio that complements Torrentio and provides more content/links? Thanks, I’ll look around too.

It’s just a matter of going into the addons and then adding the ones you want.
The first is beta and the second one are the stable versions.

Thanks. It’s a bit intimidating going through the configuration steps with MediaFusion so I went to Comet and gave it a go. It seemed to work as my Stremio now shows “Comet” links along with the “Torrentio” links. It was WAY EASIER than I thought and only takes a few moments. I appreciate your help.

Some of the configurations have advanced features, but there is also a “beginner” setup as well. Troy has tutorials for most everything. Using the search -magnifying glass at the top of the page :magnifying_glass_tilted_left:

Thanks, I added Mediafusion too. So now I have Torrentio, Comet and Mediafusion but don’t actually use Stremio!

I’ll have to use it more and get re-acquainted.

Appreciate the guidance. Happy Weekend all.

It’s well worth it. I have used Stremio for years now and only have it for my Movies and Series. Served me well.

I’ve also started using Stremio for live network TV (with USA TV), now that LivenetTV and TVmob are down.
