Stremio Down For Anyone Else?

Hi

I was watching a stream until about an hour ago. Then suddenly it stopped. Since then, i cannot get anything from stremio to play, either on my set top box, my mac or my Samsung phone.

All i get when clicking on a stream, is the movie/ series title flashing on the screen.

I have tried with and without a vpn, plus uninstalling and installing other versions from my backups.

Rebooted everything, including router. Internet speeds are normal at 956mbps download and upload over 270.

My iptv and other internet reliant apps are working fine.

Is anyone else experiencing this drop out?

Many thanks. Just tried again. It starts and then immediately get " an unexpected error occurred, please try later."

Or it just reverts back to the streams page.

I will just have to sit it out for a while.

Update…movies load fine. But series don’t. They do whati described in my previous post.

Not to worry. I use Stremio as well and AD+.

Tried non Torrentio streams, still same issue. I’m sure it will return to normal as some time tonight.

Plays fine for me. New update about an hour ago. Series and movies working for me. 1.6.6 on my Samsung S21+ 5G

Yeah. I got that update from playstore. Strange, it’s not on their website.

Never understood their site with all different options for devices. And yet playstore, i presume detects your device and installs the correct version.

Funny how my phone and set top box, (both android OS) automaticall download different versions from their website.

Still dont understand why they recommend me to use the android tv version on an android OS device set top box.

Particularly when i dowmload 1.6.6 from playstore, it is the same layout as my previous AndroidOS version from their Android mobile version.

Still having issues. Not to worry. I will wait until tomorrow now.

I got my notification from Stremio and a link. I have the playstore and auto updates off. I think the suggestion they give for a device is the best one as for devices like phones it’s a touchscreen device, and for boxs it is a remote. The joy with Stremio is you can always delete and reinstall, then log back in and your entire config is applied without any further input from you. Glitches can happen as well as transfer corruption. gl2u.

I also have auto update turned off. I was trying to see what version was on playstore and saw 1.6.6.

Never get messages or a link from Stremio about new updates.

How did you set that up?

Going to contact my ISP, because every other app I have, streams ok.

Nada stremio on my phone, mac m2 or set top box.

Very strange.

If I remember correctly I went on line to stremio and logged in then set up notifications. Don’t quote me on that though. It’ been a long long time since I first set that all up.

@Miki . I have spent another hour on this.

Two particular series are showing this error:

An unexpected error occurred, please try later.

Berlin Station series 1 to 3

Madame Secretary any series.

Suits

Strange how some series play and some dont.

Could this be ISP related even though i use a vpn. Or would a complete reinstall of add ons solve the issue?

Could you try them out for me.

I’ll be firing up Stremio in a bit to watch a series and will check it out for ya Dak. I was watching Ocean reefs this aft without issue, but it does seem like we’ve lost a couple more sources.

Just tried Lioness and yellowstone.

Clicked on a link and it showed the start and then kicked me back to the streams list page. Mmmm

And yet both these played fine until last night.

Ok @Dak7385 I just tested both series and they are playing fine for me. Not sure what else for you to try. Have you tried different server locations in your VPN?

Yep. Tried Singapore, hong kong, japan, australia, USA, and a vpn in Thailand.

Tried every link on series 1 episode 8, and it takes me to the start page and immediately kicks me back to the streaming page.

Strangely enough, if i disconnect from vpn, i get the error message, " An unexpected error occurred etc etc. But not when i connect to a vpn.

If i try EZTV free link, i just get a flashing series title on the screen.

Well, i spent the whole of today trying to resolve this issue.

Very few series or movies work. I uninstalled every add on and reinstalled them, paying particular attention to Torrentio and All Debrid.

If i click a stream, i either get " an error has occurred, please try again later. Or " Torrent download failed, trying to start download again.

Or finally, the link will take me to the series/ movie for a few seconds and then kick me back to the streaming page.

Anyone with any thoughts/ suggestions for a fix, would be welcome.

These are my Torrentio settings.

I even tried changing debtidcpptions to P2p links.
