I have been using streameast.io regularly for quite awhile with zero difficulty. Of course I only access with a PAID VPN (I am a longtime ((Years)) IPVanish subscriber) & the only problem is occasionally the service will freeze requiring a refresh. “Free” Services do this deliberately as you are then subject to the ads run on the service. Crackstreams / Buffstream & all others do the same or the links carried by others like NFLBite & such.
I may/will have to try out the new version of Silk, the older version did not handle ads & popups well. I personally use Brave configured at Max & have added extra security protections.
I left a few of my favorites in another posting on a separate thread for those like me who enjoy streaming sports.

The only reason I don’t use streameast.io to watch sports is due to it’s extremely limited options. I have used the Silk browser for years to watch sports using sites like fbstreams and Stream2Watch as well as buffstream and vipboxtv as they have a wider selection. I haven’t noticed the ad issues like you mentioned, thank heavens, and only ever get a few minor popups, when starting a stream, that I can easily X out of. I do occasionally get the “we have encountered a technical error. Please refresh the stream” I simply refresh and I’m back to the stream immediately. I’m always amazed at the different experiences others have when Streaming with virtually the same equipment from the same sites.
Streameast streams work well for me and I don’t get lockups, but honestly I’ve removed it from my bookmarks. Oh and as a side note I ALWAYS use a VPN when on line ExpressVPN.
I downloaded the new Silk on the Firestick 4K to try it out & bookmarked a number of websites. The last time I had tried Silk was a few years ago & it has since undergone a number of changes for the better. Appreciate bringing up your experience with it.
Streameast is limited to mainly US Sports & may not carry CFB, Soccer, Cricket, MMA or other sports like a few of the majors.
However this kept the numbers streaming from the service smaller so overloaded servers was not an issue. Often I try to find such smaller sites or use links to the smaller servers.
In truth it is a game for me something to pass the time & have fun in my old age, even my longtime GF is getting old as she is now 42.
