I downloaded Sportsfire TV, opened it and viewed a couple of channels. Under permissions>security & restrictions>unknown resources Sportsfire is turned on. The next day I was unable to open it. I uninstalled and resintalled it and again was able to view a couple of channels. I closed the app and reopened and viewed with no problems. Today, same thing. Under unknown resources it’s turned on. Google play protect is turned off. Sportsfire TV does no show under all apps but does show under disabled apps. I allowed all permissions and it still shows disabled. I turned the X5 off and back on and still am unable to access the app. It it now not showing under all apps or disabled apps. What am I missing? TIA
I could never get it to work on my x5 but if you have it installed and can’t see it you could look in system apps.
Now it’s showing under disabled apps again.
So did you enable it in disabled apps.
There is no enable option. All permissions are allowed.
There is an option on Mecool boxes in settings apps to disable an app and enable it again so I thought there was a chance yours could have this option also.
This app constantly gets deleted on its own but all of you saying disable your play protect and play store should be asking yourselves WHY sportsfire has a background service running and google is telling you it’s a harmful app.
Their website doesn’t seem secure either…
Anything not coming from the Playstore (3rd party) will be flagged by PlayProtect and possibly blocked, removed or disabled. That doesn’t mean they’re unsafe, it just means they aren’t approved by Google.
That’s only for the apps that have a shortcut button on the mecool remote. Other apps don’t have it. Also the android pre-installed apps like camera and gallery have the disable/enable option . Anything added to the box just has force stop/ clear cache/clear data/uninstall.
It gets deleted by itself if you have app protection enabled in Google play settings. Disable it . Good luck
