I noticed that when I download and install either sportsfire or streamfire apps on any of my tablets or my phone they will install but I can’t open them to use they don’t even show up on my apps. All my tablets and my.phome have the developer options enabled but yet I still can’t use these apps am I doing something wrong ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
They don’t work on phones…
@Ruizjes2 ….maybe Troy’s guides will help ya, but ….
StreamFire is not compatible with mobile phones or tablets and is specifically designed for dedicated streaming devices like the Amazon Fire Stick and Android TV boxes. Installing it on a phone will not display the app properly, and it will not appear in the standard app list. While some users claim it can be made to work using third-party launchers like ATV Launcher or Projectivy, the app is not optimized for mobile use and may not function correctly even with such workarounds.
SportsFire, on the other hand, has conflicting information regarding mobile compatibility. Some sources state it is not designed for smartphones or tablets and may not function properly on them. However, other sources, including the official SportsFire website, claim the app supports mobile devices and TVs via the Android operating system. Despite this, users have reported that the app does not appear on their devices after installation, even after disabling Play Protect, and that it requires a third-party launcher to be accessible. A recent guide from November 14, 2025, confirms that while SportsFire can be installed on Android phones and tablets, it must be accessed through a third-party TV launcher to be visible and functional.
In summary, neither app is officially designed for mobile use, and both may require additional steps like using a third-party launcher to function on phones. However, SportsFire appears to have more documented success on mobile devices compared to StreamFire, which is consistently reported as incompatible with phones.

Is this app still working? Goes to a black screen when I launch, its website is down, and link on downloader never resolves. :-/
The v1.2.2 no longer works. It should give you the message to update to v1.2.3 but the auto update usually fails. v1.2.3 is working for me right now.
Make sure to use the updated Downloader codes that Troy referenced in his updated tutorial.

Disable Play Protect?
@sktn77a is quite correct. Have you disabled Play protect and the app scanner?
