Looks like some F.A.S.T. streaming apps are shutting down. So far, Crackle, RedBox, and Popcornflix are the ones shutting down.
Redbox was the last option to rent a DVD from a brick and mortar store! That’s where I used to get all my DVDs before I started streaming. Now people are going to have to learn to stream or pay high prices from DirecTV. None of my friends know how to stream and they really don’t want to learn. Or they buy the already jailbroken fire sticks from the local Craigslist guy. But you know that’s the change of industry.
It makes sense that crackle would be shutting down as the same company owns redbox crackle and chicken soup for the soul. It’s an over saturated market when it comes to f.a.s.t.I think there are still a couple of dvd/br rental by mail options.I can’t tell you the last time I saw anyone getting a movie from one of those redbox kiosks.
