Did anyone else notice an error message on YT as well? Only on my steeaming devices. The app on my phone works fine. Is the 403 error causing this?

Do you sign into your YT with ST? I’m wondering if that is part of the issue too.
APK Time has the beta version. I downloaded it but still having 403 error
Ill wait and see. So far it was working but i wasnt signed into YT account.
APK Time is: Smart Tube beta V. 26.27 and it’s working after you wait out a couple of 403 errors … just let them run until the video begins again

I never did sign in when I started the beta version on my Cube and the Nvidia almost a year ago. But when I loaded the stable version to try out it was a total nightmare. Google was wanting me to load codes, respond to emails to the point of aggravation. So I never got the stable version to work. The Beta version is just fine for me. I did get some 403 errors last night. But a popup said to wait for the error to quit and it finally worked.
The developer of ST is a just one guy from what I’ve read. So it’s kinda like Whach-a-mole when errors pop up. But he seems to fix it in a reasonable amount of time. I did send funds via PP to him since he’s been great and I do really appreciate what he’s doing.
Thanks Jerry. Getting the 403 message on the beta too but the fix only takes a few seconds as opposed to minutes.

I use it with my actual YT sigh in and haven’t encountered any issues.
When I start up ST Beta I always check for updates. Just right arrow and it’s listed at the top. It usually only takes a few seconds to get the update.

I now installed also SmartTube…
Working absolutely perfect .
After i logged in with my youtube account , i noticed also including ALL SAVED video’s, and channels !

That is good to know Wil. Thanks for the information. I really stopped using You Tube over a year ago and rarely use it for much of anything. And to be honest, I do not miss it at all.

Smarttube Beta version 26.31 seems to have fixed the issue for now.

Apparently this is a Google TV vs. Android TV issue.
Nvidia is android and regular ST works fine
Onn is Google TV and requires the ST Beta version

Whatever it was all my apps now work on my nvidea sheild again. My ST Beta, ST and YT no longer have any issues.
My guess it was a YT issue that carried over to ST.
Gremlins I tell ya. Them pesky little creatures get into everything. I’ll pray for you.

Mine has stopped working on my shield, just get the “403 error, applying fix” but nothing plays.
Check to see if there is an update available. The comment “applying fix” means that there is an update on the way. If there is no update available presently, then it might be a short time away. The Dev is really great about being on top of this but he is a solo operation.

Like @JerryJ said… you should have the fix now available in both the beta and standard versions (26.95).
I keep both on my device now in case one goes out the other usually is working. Or i know not to update one if the other has a problem.

Try a different country on your vpn. I was just getting “403” errors and also telling me to “sign in” to verify. I switched to another country. Worked great. Good luck.
