I just now updated mine using the app’s updater. Settings>About>Check for updates and it updated to v.22.09

Lately when I refresh SmartTube, it tends to load a bunch of movies that I’m not interested in, and I can’t seem to find a setting to NOT load movies. It also has a quirk where it loads a bunch (compilation) of videos into a group, again with no option to get rid of. Any SmartTube guru’s out there with some setting advice?
not a guru by any stretch but I can offer a suggestion that worked for me. It’s no secret that the youtube algorithm sends stuff for you to view based on stuff you have already watched. I kept getting car repair stuff and automotive ads due to looking up several car fixes I needed and thought I could tackle. To break that “cycle” so to speak, after a good cache cleanse, I started searching for random stuff like say…“celery farming”, “medicinal hydroponics”, and even “european spelunking” till it blew youtubes (and SmartTube’s) proverbial mind. I then starting gettng interesting stuff like “Nairobi Poultry Industries’ Child Labor Laws” I’m at the point now that I figure I have been assilimated into the collective and just go with the flow! YMMV and best of luck with your quest!

Thanks for the response, but sounds as though you have had as much luck as I have had. Already tried cleaning cache but that didn’t seem to do a thing. Maybe I should search Nairobi Poultry Industry.

Are you logged into your YT account on STube?
Edit: i am going to guess, and only guess, you arent because the movie recommendations for me only appear on my devices that i dont log into.
My logged in ST dont show them.
Also, if you long press over the selection can you not select “not interested” or similar?
I think I am logged into the YT account as if I use my PC to log into YT, it shows all my recent activity on SmartTube.
Long press scenario:
On Movies my options are:
Open channel
Subscribe/Unsubscribe from the channel
Add channel to the sidebar
On regular videos my options are:
Add to Watch later
Add/Remove from playlist
Not interested
Don’t recommend channel
Mark as watched
Play next
Open channel
Subscribe/Unsubscribe from the channel
Add channel to the sidebar
In short, I don’t seem to have an option on the movies or compilations to mark them as not interested.
Ok it sound like you are logged in on ST. I will keep a look out on my logged in ST to see if I have different options.
I checked yesterday and today and still dont see any movie choices on my logged in ST.

Yep, but can’t find any settings that would apply.
