I don’t see a place to login…nor do I have a login/password
First make an account for Youtube. Then in SmartTube click the avatar in the top lefthand corner. Then sign in using the same login info you used to create your YouTube account.
If you have a Google account. Then you can sign in using that. If not, then you will need to make a Google account before you can sign into YouTube. If you use GMail then you already have a Google account.
If you have a Google account. Then that is your YT account. If you use Gmail. Then you have a Google account.
Well, I tried that. Had to disconnect my VPN to get a code. Entered code. Still have the same issue.

Does it have customizability to sort playlists? YouTube still, to this day, hasn’t implemented a sorting feature when you add something new to a playlist. You can view your Playlists alphabetically but when adding something new it goes strictly by recent playlist format
I do not have any playlists
If you don’t have a Youtube account then you wouldn’t be subscribed to anyone nor have any playlists

Do you have a Google account? If so, that is the same sign in info. Then sign in.
You could just uninstall the app and start all over., Installing SmartTube is super simple.
I was trying to recall how I am able to use SmartTube without logging in. I’m thinking that I just tag the magnifying glass and go. This should open the search function, obviously.
I actually do pay for our YouTube subscription but I wanted an option that has absolutely no tracking by YT or Google.
Keep your vpn on of course.
Even if you arent logged in they can probably see where the search is requested. The search is still going through YT and back to ST somehow.

Same here, uninstall and reinstall didn’t fix it.
You have to have a Google account first to sign in.

It wanted me to sign in and I just:
Clicked on the search bar and typed in something.
It pulled up several videos and watched them no problem.
i tried that. It brings up a menu of videos but when I select one, it asks me to sign in again
I don’t know what is wrong. Are you using a firestick? I’m using an X5 Pro android box.
This may be relative to firesticks only. Just a guess.
Seems to me that if you login with your YouTube account then they have access to your YouTube account.
In the past I would just tab on the search icon in the top left corner and it would open the menu. I’ve been using the Beta version for several months with no issues. Anyhow, the other day I decided I want to try out the standard version so I loaded it up. All’s good, so tab on the search icon which opens Search. I type something in (in this case it was puppy training) and I got a message saying “Sign in to confirm you’re not a bot - This helps protect our community.”
I was going to post a question about this on the Smart Tube github page but felt a bit intimidated and didn’t want to sound like a fool. My Beta version is still working fine so I figured that I would mess around with it another time.
