I just found a TP tutorial for “Newpipe”. I installed it successfully and tried to open a video. It went to the page but I couldn’t get it to play. So I might have to fool around with it a bit.

Last night mine acted up, but I did the update and that seemed to fix the issue. However, upon checking right now I am getting a error 403 on all videos.
Seems ‘Live’ feds work.

Using YouTube on Brave browser on my X5 has no ads.

Same here on both the 4K and 4KMax2 sticks-only 403 error
Works with Opera with Adguard and Adblock also.

Listen folks, SmartTube is broke for now. The developer is aware of the problem and is working on a solution.
I have contacted a few of my sources for possible workarounds but none of them worked.
However, I did install Revanced and it does work. So, if ya gots ta hav it. Then install that for the temporary fix. Personally, I am not a big Revanced fan. So, I have already uninstalled it and will wait for the SmartTube fix.
You still can get Live streams on SmartTube. So, there is some stuff still available.

Browsehere with ad blocker is also working but not nearly as user friendly as ST. I dont like navigating on the browsers on streaming devices with the remote. And i know there are other ways.
We will all hopefully one day laugh about this as…remember that time…

I got YouTube to work in the JioSphere browser with the ad blocker, doing so on my Onn Android 12 box if that helps anyone.
Meanwhile standing by hopefully the Smart Tube guys can figure out a work around.

Is revanced available in Troy’s store, and will it install on my 4KMax2?
I did find this in a quick search.
The 403 error is YouTube blocking access to the Smart YouTube app . They are at war with ad blockers . For now I’m using YouTube with the ad lock feature in the JioSpheres app on my onn 4k. It’s working and it’s an easy backup way of watching YouTube minus the ads.

Yep same as everyone else. 403 error. Worked fine last night. Hope they have the fix by tomorrow.
