Hello, I am trying to get Silk installed on my Nvidia Shield device, but when I search Google Play store, it doesn’t show up. I just watched the Troypoint video of how to install IPTV Smarters with 1192 Free Channels an Try talks about using Silk for his browser. I don’t have it and I don’t have the Amazon App Store to download it from. Where can I get the Amazon App Store?
Uptodown app store has amazon appstore.
you can sideload it as mentioned. Also give the jiopages browser a look. Its been “tooled” to work well with the shield and its in the playstore.
Thanks for the suggestions, but I didn’t get the Amazon Store or Silk installed. Uptodown has Silk in it’s app install area, I clicked on it, then it asked me if I wanted to install and I clicked on install and when I go to my apps, it isn’t there, nor is it in my files when I look at Downloader. I installed jiopages, and was able to go to The Amazon App, I went through some tough spots but finally downloaded the apk, I then installed it and clicked on it and it has three screens, all look the same, and at the bottom of the screen it say Already have an Amazon account? (which I do) and create an account. I click the up and down arrows on my Nvidia remote and can hear three clicks up, then three clicks down and I can’t see anything change and no matter where I am in the clicks, the OK button does nothing.
I am at a loss, guess Silk isn’t made for me.
I wouldnt try running native amazon apps on an android device. I however have sideloaded the silk browser without issue. The shield is android and plays well with the playstore and nvidea gaming apps. Go into settings>>apps and scroll down to see if silk was ever added. If not I have my version you can try it found here>>> Proton Drive
