Silk Browser Issue

The Silk icon has disappeared from my home page (FireTV Box). It also no longer appears when i click “All Apps” on the home screen. When i go to Settings>Apps and click on Silk, the “Launch App” does not appear. (only Force Stop, Clear Data and Clear Cache).
I now have to search for Silk from the home page to launch.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Does alexa work? Can you use Alexa and say “silk Browser” and see if the icon pops up. Go to the Amazon store, search for silk browser and then try downloading/updating it.

The icon pops up, just doesn’t remain on Home page (not even under Recent Apps).
App is updated.

Ok, as you can get at the clear Data try that. I don’t know the exact device you are using so I can’t research your exact “Device” to help. So if you could tell me the exact make and model of your Fire TV Box that might help.
For now, try clearing the browser data, then completely unplug the power from your device, wait for about 30 seconds to a minute, plug the power back in and restart the device. On my 4K Max there isn’t a “Silk” icon, just an “internet” icon with the Amazon smile.
Also please try going to the app store, search for silk and see if the “download” button is active or if you do get an “update” button. If there is then this may restore the missing icon.
One more possibility, go into settings, apps, manage installed apps, app store and clear data and cache and restart the device.

None of that worked. I guess i’ll just have to keep using Alexa. Just find it odd.
Thanks

Can you please tell me what device this is on?

It’s an Amazon FireTV Box 2 - my favorite device.
