Signal strength and internet speed

Yes, but only from your Modem to your devices, not the incoming signal, using ethernet from the router to your device eliminates that entirely, but of course a fast and stable WiFi helps with the speed from router to your devices, but that is often most adversely affected by bad tech in your environment. A good WiFi antenna as an example. Perhaps I missed that in your OP I’ll reread it. Oh and good morning.
greater signal strength equals faster speeds from the Internet <this is what I misinterpreted I guess as WiFi has nothing to do with internet speeds “from” the internet, only “From” your modem/Router, which you can tune by changing channels, bandwidth allotment, and using 5Ghz band where possible.

I didn’t want to open up a new topic for this. AT&t came in replaced my motor mine went bad. Modem. Anyways my computer, HP would never sleep with my old modem. I did everything I could get the dang computer to sleep and wouldn’t do it. When they put in the new modem now my computer will go to sleep like it’s scheduled. I don’t know why the old modem kept it from going to sleep I just hope it wasn’t anything hacking.
