I just use two apk’s with Real Debrid.
Stremio!!!
If @Miki response is confusing, then simple answer is NO. Have heart, Stremio with RD is far easier and a great app. Kodi has a steep learning curve and requires frequent maintenance. Kodi is a NO. Stremio is a YES
Have you tried Kodi? Do you like it? If so, use it. What apks have your tried, do you like them? If so, use them. The question proposed is an opinion question, so everyone will tell you something different. Fact is, all of these get you to pretty much the same place, just with different user interfaces (and potentially different scrapers). Troy has given us so many options, it really is trial and error along with personal preference. There really isn’t a wrong answer.
perhaps you should use the search button on here and find your answer to your satisfaction
Happy Birthday @AMD237 Have a wonderful day.
Thanks @Miki, I appreciate it!
What device are you using? If you’re using a Firestick, Stremio or Weyd might be better for you.
I’ve used Kodi & Stremio extensively and I’m currently test driving Weyd.
Stremio is not immune from problems. But it’s definitely more plug & play, and TP’s latest tutorial is easy to follow…a big improvement from the previous tutorial.
Kodi does require more of a learning curve, but the maintenance issue & the difficulty of installing addons is way over stated. HOWEVER, Kodi works much better with something with better specs than Firesticks (IDK but the new Max 4k, though) or the ONN cheapies. Also, some addons work quicker than others.
After some tweaking, mainly enabling software and preferring software codecs, I’m starting to like Weyd more than Stremio.
Good reply AMD237, that’s it…mic drop…
@Miki gave you some great advice. KODI user for over 6 years and have used it several different ways. I don’t like the firesticks and don’t use them. My current setup is using 20.2 with a Build on the ONN 4K Box.
Maybe!
Have a great cake day!
Thanks @PapaS!
Hey @MarkxG is your 4k Onn box the 2023 model? I’m going to see if I can get one here. I have 6 unopened 4k Max sticks and they’re just collecting dust. Cost $51 cdn.
Yes @Miki the 2023 4K is the one I have
Hello Miki, youre definitely more knowledgeable about the Firestick than me so can you tell me something. I thought you had to have regular Kodi installed before you could use one of Troys forks. Am i wrong or can you install a fork, say, for Kodi 20, without having Kodi 19 or any other version already installed and it will work.
Forks are stripped down Kodi. Once you add a fork then you add your addons. The reason for this is they are much smaller than a full Kodi build. You only add one or two addons. This saves space on the older 4K Max Firesticks which don’t have much space to begin with, less than 5GBs. Now the new 2023 4K Max with 16 GBs of space can take a fully loaded Kodi build.
If you have an a device with Android tv, you may want to have kodi with real debrid and also use downloader to get apks for some apps you may want that Google play does not have for Android tv… If on the other hand if you are using a limited space firestick, I would, IMO set up kodi with 1 to 3 addons currently working, and you should be able to get all your shows via real debrid. Highly recommend a VPN.
I’ve used Kodi with RD and a few addons for many years. It has worked well for me.
If your happy why change it
