Well this depends on where you live I guess. When in Canada in the remote north we had Starchoice. Other than heavy, and I mean heavy snowfall it was flawless, expensive but flawless.

After moving into an area that had nothing as far as TV, such as cable, or anything I ended up having to get Dish, AKA Echostar. This was 1998 and I had it up to a few years ago when I discovered streaming. Actually Dish gave me few problems and in general very reliable. It just got to expensive because of all the added costs such as recievers. At the end it seemed Dish didn’t care about customer loyalty and pretty much gave up trying to keep me as a customer. Thank goodness I discovered android boxes, Kodi and eventually APKs. I do use YouTube TV and like it.

Cheers mate that’s very true I remember buying an art card for £40 that lasted 2year used to all the premeire league top games like what you get with bein now good days

I had Dish network with an echo star receiver also until 2012 as their price kept going up and video quality for most channels was mostly in analogue 480i or 480p resolution. Dish kept blaming their increases on increasing fees they had to pay to the networks, including local broadcast stations, which went dark during contract disputes. I got fed up with it and went with an over the air rooftop antenna until IPTV came along. From there, I have never looked back.
