Does someone have this? Is anyone familiar with this type of box? If so, could you kindly describe the pros and cons? Ty
Thank you
The general consensus here is to never buy a preloaded box. You never know what is actually on it and if it is “clean”. No adware/malware/spyware and so on. Buying a box like the Shield or Ugoos and setting it up with your own configuration is the best way to go, and safer.
I purchased one from the state fair 2 years ago. Runs like POOP
. The Crew app doesn’t work. It pulls up links links yet when you click on them it says No links found. Didn’t matter which link you select. So, far the only one ive found that works is their Shazam app and literally it takes 5 - 10 minutes for it to play a movie or tv series. Heck, my firestick works a 1000 times better. Would not waste your money on that box. Oh! Their customer support stinks as well. Hope this helps
This will be my first post on this site which I want to start off by saying I have been a member for quite some time and this is a fantastic place to find help on just about anything. Thank-You!
I have played around with the:
Amazon Firesticks & Google Onn devices and have mixed feeling on both. I finally made the jump to the SuperBox S6 Ultra and have been nothing but impressed. As with any device there always are trouble shooting hurdles that you have to face. (Usually a restart of the device corrects most of them). I know the upfront cost of these boxes are a bit costly but I have to say that the box is wonderful. I have found that most people that have issues with any device are not investing in a quality VPN as well. This is a must.
Thanks Again Troy!

How does a VPN affect box performance? I don’t think it does. I don’t use a VPN and have never had issues because of this with any of my boxes. I’m not saying don’t use a VPN but I don’t think a VPN has anything to do with Box performance.
I use (IPVanish) and have had no issues. It also adds a little green dot to the bottom right hand of the screen so you can always tell it is on.
Just wondering if it works?

S6 is just an upgrade to the S5
I am in a few FB groups for Superbox and also Vsee, the Vsee people seem to have far less issues. The big thing that I find crazy is Super box and I think even Vsee can brick your box and you are done unless the person you bought it from pays Super box $2000. Apparently the end user gets penalized if the seller advertises a price less than what Super Box allows. They can sell it for what ever price they like, but they have to advertise it at a minimum cost. Cases of boxes are I believe 20 boxes, and all the MAC address are linked to the seller,so they brick the whole case.
Seems a lot of people buy from Tik Tok because the price is shown less than everywhere else, and they end up getting bricked because Superbox and Vsee also, will buy from these people and lock them down. The seller becomes not available any more and you spent 250 or so for nothing.
If you are serious about buying one find an authorized seller. For both brands.
Thanks for this post Dave, if I buy it will certainly be from a reputable retailer! I’m just trying to figure out if this box at the $429 price (10X a ONN 4K+) will give my Mother a point and click experience similar to having a cable provider or YouTube TV, and will it give her the live channels she watches mostly. I can’t send her a Firestick or ONN box even if I loaded everything up for her as she would just be bewildered by it.
Dave, you and others have been very helpful here. Also, after viewing this in-depth review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R82pt4rLhBQ I have decided to load up an ONN 4K box with the IPTV I use, EagleCast, and hopefully with just a few phone calls can teach her how to use it.
My thanks to all who posted on this subject, it helped a lot!
This is what I did for the GF’s Mother.
I set up the box with Projectivy, added my apps I wanted on it.
I put Tivimate premium on, set it to open on start up, and it goes to the live tv section. I made a local channels group, with all the locals in it, and a Mom Favorites and put some channels in it. Copy them to the new group and not move to. I really knocked the groups down. Also went to shows on the VOD side and added some of her favorite shows. Then I used button mapper to set the big blue button to open tivimate on a double tap, in case she got away from it. I also added Onstream as it is fairly simple like netflix.
Thanks Dave! Those are great ideas. I’m pretty new to this, so your ideas opened my mind up and I’ll use a few of them on my own boxes too. I just want to make it as easy as possible for Mom and your points definitely help in that area.
If I can be of any help just leave me know. Good luck, I understand how it is trying to teach someone how to do things.
