Sorry, I see Roku’s point. If you buy a service thru Roku and they earn a commission and the service goes bankrupt, should you be able to sue Roku? If you think a movie is inappropriate, is that Roku’s fault. Many lawsuits are trivial, but expensive.
If you get in trouble with the internet police for copyright infringement, should you be able to sue Troy … Or …should Troy be able to place a disclaimer of “for educational purposes only?”
We live in a litigious world. I don’t blame anyone or everyone for doing CYA.
With a Roku TV is hard… Closed OS with little or no options. I have one and it works fine. As a matter of fact, Roku offers a bunch of stuff free, better than Firestick does, but being a non-moddable device with a closed source OS you’re stuck with what you get. That’s why a lot of us love to use Firestick, Google, or even a PC with Kodi rather than Roku.
