Yup Apps Only is like a Launcher except it doesn’t brick your box like a Launcher does

I don’t want to sound like another member here, I won’t mention any names, but why would anybody want to be on the home page in the first place! I can understand if you had a beautiful picture on there and you wanted to use your TV kind of like a wall hanging picture when you’re not watching TV, but why stay on the homepage why stare at it! When I put my never Shield Pro to sleep, I hit the home button to turn it back on turn the TV back on, the button is right on t i v i mate I hit that I’m streaming! I have no reason to stay on the homepage! I just don’t get it. Now I got to stop so I don’t sound like somebody else on this forum. LOL

Maybe sometimes the tv and device are in a shared location and others aren’t as familiar with the navigation and available options as you may be. The home screen can give them a good idea of what the device can offer.

And I agree with you. I had to use a home screen to learn the program and any extras that I may utilize on my device. I’ve even downloaded apps off the advertisements. But once I’ve completed that, it I’m done with the homepage. But however, I did forget that a lot of people like to experiment with their devices so my hat’s off to them!
In the apps only mode on the onn pro the voice does not work. Might be a couple other conveniences that do not work, not sure.
Oh I dunno,maybe I want to use another app?Tivimate is great but I use several other apps.

Home Screen is over rated but people like fancy wallpaper and Chit
