Although it’s not said here, I am thinking that the launcher is a newer one then mine. Mine is V 1.1.3 and I don’t see any of those options to remap buttons. There is no Home Hook button. I am still using Wolf launcher V 0.1.9 as well just since I am mentioning versions.

You need launcher manager v1.1.8 to remap the buttons.

Yes it was. I never bothered as the home screen is not an issue for me. I’d say I have seen my home screen less than %1 of the time my Max was on. Now I haven’t even had my Max installed since I got the Shield Pro. The Max is now just my backup.

Lol. I’m trying my best. Love the Shield Pro. Dislike AndroidTV. I am eternally grateful to all who helped get a Shield Pro to me. Have fun and STREAM ON!!

What specific things about AndroidTV turn you off to it the most? There are slight differences between it and FireOS, but really those differences are very slight and I don’t think make one better than the other. The OS isn’t the reason I’m not using Amazon devices, I would say I like it equally to AndroidTV in that regard. I dislike both stock launchers equally too lol.

I know where Miki is comming from. When you dive into a system and really learn it, tweak it the differences are more noticable when moving to another. I use linux as my operating system and often try new flavors. While they all do pretty much the same thing its just slight differences that “stump” you a bit. Once you get it you get it and all is well. Thats why I call it jokingly The conversion… some would say Old dog, New tricks :joy:

I wasn’t trying to argue with his point of view, just thought if we knew what he didn’t like about it maybe we could help him through it. It’s hard to like a Shield Pro and hate the OS lol. Maybe a custom launcher would help him?
