I get my live tv from kodi>crew>iptv>ustvgo! Is there a way to schedule a recording of a live program so I can watch it later. An alternative would be to schedule and record a program using ustv247.com. I am running kodi on an android tv, windows 10 laptop, fire stick 4K, and a android tv box. What would be the easiest way to schedule and record a show from any of these devices via kodi or browser. I do not subscribe to a iptv service.
Hi @Tico259
So as far as I know, there is not a way to record any program from USTV or The Crew. With Kodi, you can record local live TV using and over-the-air antenna and a Gateway device to take the local live tv signal and run it through Kodi and record that local live tv event.
The only other way, is to subscribe to an IPTV service, set it up to play on TiviMate and record the event using TiviMate.
Good luck
Found this if it’s helpful to you.
Ok, thanks, I’ll keep working on it. Jayhawker, thanks for the link, but that was way over my head. I’m thinking the windows 10 laptop might be the answer. It has screen capture and task scheduling, so I’m thinking all I have to do is learn how to combine the two. Thanks again.
Over my head too lol. I know many things, but coding in Python isn’t one of them.
To be completely honest, recoding is probably better with a iptv service and storage devices.
Kodi isn’t quite up to it. It would have to be done through there smb service and other apps that connect to a home service similar to a dvr.
It’s a bit much but can be done.
And tv shows or movies you can just watch on kodi and save. Live events and news or ppv iptv with tivimate be better.
