I’m having trouble renewing my account on RD. I’ve been using their service and making payments with the same credit card for about 3 years. Now, all of a sudden, after entering my credit card info I get “Payment Refused”. I’ve tried turning of SS then back on again, and it doesn’t make a difference. There is no one to contact. There is no email address. I’m curious, has anyone else encountered this problem. I never had this problem with IPVanish.
We have covered this alot, you need to do a search on this as its covered. Turn off your VPN and make a payment with amazon pay or cc, i use both without an issue. All payments have worked for a long time now, Delete all your browser cache, switch browsers and try again.
I did my research, and if you read my post, I tried turning off my VPN and there is no difference. Come to think of it, I totally uninstalled my VPN thinking that it was running in the background - that didn’t work either. I checked with my bank card company and they say everything is fine on their end. I’ve never had this problem with them in the past. I went over to my wife’s computer and tried making a payment and got the same results. I guess no more Real Debrid for me.
Hard to say, as this doesn’t just happen out of nowhere. Ether your card is being refused or something is blocking the transaction. If you use amazon then just use amazon pay. What kinds of error are you getting from RD.
And no, i have over 50 plus in the search q of this info. Not being rude just look up other info, you never know. What type of error or rejection are you getting from RD?
The same thing happen to me several years ago. I have been using amazon pay the last couple years. It might be our credit card company blocks the service purchase now. Don’t think there is a service fee either.
I can type in my information and everything goes smoothly until I hit the payment button, then I get “payment refused”. What really makes me mad is there is no explanation as to why. I guess I’ll have to delete my account and start over. All that being said, it looks like the credit card is the issue, because I used my wife’s computer with the same cred card and it got refused again. I don’t want to use Amazon Pay, so I guess I’m screwed.
I wonder if I can use a prepaid card instead. Worth a try before I toss in the towel.
First, please check if 3D Secure (Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode) is enabled on your credit / debit card.

In their help section. If you have amazon, and use CC on amazon i dont know why you wouldn’t use amazon pay. It might be your only way. If you haven’t used your wifes cc before on RD and used a different it’s possible different financial institution and be refusing it. Try different CC, if not a prepaid MIGHT work but its not 100%.
Thanks everyone for your help. If I remember correctly, my wife called the bank and they say I can make overseas payments using this card, and 3D Secure is enabled also. I may try using another card just for s***s and grins. Thanks again. I’m going to bed. Been a long day.
Okay, I spent another hour researching my problem concerning making payments to Real-Debrid using my credit card. Like I said before, my VPN is turned off, I’ve changed browsers as well as computers, I’ve called my bank and made sure that I can make payments in euro dollars as well as my card is 3D Secure. The problem is on RD website or their policy etc. Not from anything I’m doing. I paid them last December using this card - the problem is = they don’t want to use my credit card. Don’t ask me what happened nothing has changed on my end. So, it’s either Amazon Pay or nothing. Funny how no one else has incurred this problem.
Im sure others have had this issue. Amazon pay should work. You can try to contact them. Otherwise im not sure what to tell you.
The only thing else I can think of as far as using the credit card is just the type of card it is. I believe RD only accepts Mastercard or Visa, so if it is a Discover, American Express or something else, it would have that error. I’m sure that isn’t the issue, but since you haven’t figured it out, thought I would throw it out there.
It’s a Visa card, and not expired. I guess if I want RD it’s Amazon Pay for me. Thanks Dracoo and everyone else that tried to help out. Thanks
I just used my Visa last week to get 6 more months. All I had to do was shut off my vpn. Log into RD. Choose the 6 mth sub and it did it almost automatically.
Well, it certainly didn’t work for me. Funny, but originally, I used to use IPVanish, but now SS. I know it’s not possible for the VPN to be the reason because I went over to my wife’s computer and she never was connected to a any VPN, and it still didn’t solve anything. I can log on their website and access my account etc with or without my VPN connected. It’s has to be something with the card. Just one of those weird things I guess.
Like @Miki, I just used visa also in the past 2 weeks for 6 months with no issues. I’m in Canada Also no vpn on.
