My tv and my AM 8 ugoos are capable of 4k- DV-HDR playback.
But, when i click on a link on these types of stream, i get vision but no sound.
The movie in question is “Reptile,” 2023.
Playing 1080 links is no problem. I just thought i would try 4k dv hdr links for a change.
If i recall, i think i had the same issue on my Minix u22xj max. But usually watched 1080 links.
Anyone got any ideas please?
What device @Dak7385 ? You should have a “Dolby Audio Processing” choice you can enable.
@Miki . Device is Ugoos AM8. Just checked…Adaptive HDR/DV is recommended and enabled. Did not select " Always DV".
So, back to my Stremio> settings…unchecked Digital audio output passthrough. Tested a 4kHDR/DV link on that movie Reptile, and hey presto, it worked.

Way to go @Dak7385 . That’s some great detective work. I hadn’t thought of stremio. However, I have that setting enabled but don’t have any issues. Man this Sound and Audio stuff takes a lot of learning, not to mention the different devices and how they handle stuff like this.
