Proton VPN Split Tunnel TVOS

I’m reading on Reddit that the beta of Proton VPN for TVOS is now offering split tunneling. I’m trying to confirm this through Proton and I’m not home to check mine and see if it’s true. Stay tuned…

Info here.
Split tunneling on Windows and Android - Proton VPN Support.

I’ve had Proton for years and use the split tunneling on my 'droid devices all the time. Same for the killswitch although it’s called “always on VPN”.

Miki, I have been using it on my PC and Phone. However, I have yet to try it on my Fire Cube as I have Surfshark on it. Have you used it on your streaming device?

Proton has been on my streaming device for years and is one of my only complaints with Proton. None of the advanced features are available to configure and after months of asking Proton why, and getting a constant BS answer I gave up and accepted it.

That’s for Android OS and not TVOS. Proton VPN as of when I left my house this morning has no advanced settings. Nothing. It’s either on or off and that’s all

On Streaming devices only. On all other devices like phones, tabs, laptops, Chromebooks, it has a ton of programmable options. On Streamers you can still change locations and send complaints, but complaints are a waste of time and just fall on deaf ears.

What device is that on?

The new ONN 4K Pro

Nice. What version? That doesn’t show on my shield. That’s a good start. I never even saw an update release for that. Maybe the Google TV OS.

It’s the beta. I had to go to the Playstore website and search Proton VPN via my ONN through a browser and sign up for the beta program. I then had to delete the Proton app and download again and it showed up. Version 5.4.47,0

Nice. Maybe at last they’re getting around to fulfilling their promises. That would be a first. Thanks @Streaming429. Something to look forward to.

Not sure but I think you log out of Proton. Uninstall the app. Then go to the Playstore to get it.

Correct. I deleted the app and then went to Playstore via TvBro browser and clicked on beta in there and then went and redownloaded
