Proton VPN Keeps Disconnecting

Anybody bored?

New to Proton VPN.

Proton keeps dropping and reconnecting after 10 minutes or so. Anyone have any input as how to resolve this?

There was an update a couple of days ago 5.15.70.0

My APK on Android works fine. This issue is with the Windows OS version, which is set to auto update and is currently up to date.

Acting fine here on all devices.

Or contact their customer service support, they are great at responding.

That flowchart doesnt apply to me as I am able to connect, but the connection drops about 10 mins later, and keeps cycling.

Then if you’ve tried everything like changing protocols contact customer service as I mentioned. They are responsive and helpful.

Mine has been fine but I use the paid, not free, router setup. Assuming you’re using the app maybe try some different servers? Which app does it show as dropping and reconnecting in or is it all of them? I’ve had good luck with their support but usually takes a day to get a response. I’d also definitely try deploying the update everyone is mentioning. Good luck!

A few “working fine here” reports give me hope. I am on the paid version, using the Android APK for streaming, with no issues there. I am using the Windows version for PC usage, where the problem lies with disconnects regardless of selected server.

I have reached out to support, but it’s the weekend now, so I don’t expect any response for a few days. Oh, and everything is up to date…

why does proton release their updates through Github instead of just sending new updates directly through the app store on the device?

UPDATE…

Not totally there just yet, but everything is pointing to an improperly configured Torrent Client (Tixati). Still working on specific settings, but it appears there are too many connections, triggering the DDoS flag.

Slowly making changes, but the major one I believe would help the most (Global Connections) doesn’t exist in Tixati, but the program hasn’t dropped connections for a few days now.

Oh, and I love the server load percentage, in real time.
