Good afternoon all, I was trying to install privacy dot on the downloader app when I encountered the message that it was an outdated version and would not download. I then tried the monitor dot and got the message that it was possibly a malicious app but did I want to download anyway. I did not. All this is on a Samsung tablet. I read for an hour and did not see this problem discussed. Any ideas?
Both apps are fine. I use the Monitor Dot and have no issues. The message you are receiving is a generic warning. In this case it is not important. It is only warning of a download it knows nothing about.
Both Dots are available to download from the Troypoint Toolbox. Here is the link.
Btw, which VPN do you use? Surfshark has a monitoring icon built-in their app.
Also, I just now downloaded the Monitor App onto my Android tablet using the TP-Toolbox via Downloader and everything downloaded and installed fine. I tested the app and everything is working as normal.
I use Proton vpn and will try again when I get home. Thank you for your help.
I guess Google play turned itself back on because that is what the problem was.Turned it back off and it downloaded without a problem. Thanks
Wait, SS has a monitoring dot? I think I seem to remember that it works with tablets and phones but not Android boxes?
True, I only mentioned it because the op had denoted in her post that she was trying to install on her Samsung tablet. Surfshark has a monitoring icon installed for the apps used on tablets. Although, she stated she uses Proton VPN and I don’t think they have that feature…don’t know.
Btw, an icon will also appear on your browser if you use the SS extension.
