I’m a big MMA fan and have been since UFC 1 back in 1993. I’ve seen most of the Pay Per Views since then and have witnessed the evolution of the broadcast quality over the years. Back then there was no Internet so Pay Per View was the only way to watch these live MMA…

I lived in the UK when SKY satelillte tv had a monopoly. They had various subscription models, ranging ftom basic tv channels, to sports packages which were addons to the basics. They had film channrls, again in addition to the basic subscription. THEN, whoopee they started showing boxing as pay per view, more expenditure. Just like the UFC getting to watch the fights was a nightmare. Unfortunately, it wasnt possible to get fights on the internet so friends used to group together and all help pay to watch the fight. The UFC seems a big money spinner and will probably always make money and if i had any interest in it id never pay to watch it.

Back in the day,I’m talking the first UFC events myself and friends would split the cost and it was pretty reasonable. The fighting was amazing, then slowly but surely Dana White and company started making changes I wasn’t fond of.And the ppv pricing was insane.Haven’t watched UFC probably since the Coture,Lesnar, days.Don’t miss it or the price one bit.I couldn’t even tell you any of the fighters these days, maybe McGregor and that’s only because he is also in the mainstream.

when watching UFC at a friends house with ESPN there is always a problem with buffering. when watching through pirate streams, there is no buffering and in my opinion higher quality feed. Not even close. So, if money were no object, I would still choose IPTV source for watching. For me, this applies to all PPV’s.
